Jsut a lil info about the diamond star motors, they were built in Normal Illinois. So I'd say the are atleast a lil American and they were developed by Chrysler and Mitsubishi. They buily avengers and stratuses there as well as sebrings and cirrus cars there.

well, all i know is the 89-92.5 eclipse motors were made in japan, and the 92.5 up were made in the us, and have horrible track record.lol they ones made here had tons of problems with the cranks walking in the block!

No doubt about that about those, my dad bought an 82 Lebaron with that mitsu 2.5. He got so much crap about it at work that he never would open the hood. He was a UAW steel worker.
