That's all I can say after seeing those two shows tonight. Overhaulin was tastefully done, the `Cuda on Rides was waaaaaay nuts.

Nice to see some Mopars get airtime. :thumleft:

I was watching one of the car shows on Speed last night. They had the guy wringing out the totally restored "Silver Bullet" car. Too cool! :bounce:

I just hopped over to the MoParts message board and couldn't believe how many guys are trashing Chip & Troy! Go read some of the posts over there....

While I agree that I'd like to have some say in how my car is built, I wouldn't mind having those two do it for me. And the level of detail & quality?

Like they say in the old neighborhood:

Fughetaboutit!

Some people can't be happy for others who receive great things and for people who have talent. I haven't gotten to see the shows yet, they delay certain stations for us in Hawaii. Even if they might do things to a car that I might not like, you've got to admit they've got some talent.

I agree. If they hauled off my car & returned it with a set of Foose billet wheels, shaved door handles, and a paint job I couldn't afford, all done in one week mind you...., I wouldn't ***** one bit.

Some of those guys just flat-out floored me over there. Kinda like hitting the lottery and complaining about the taxes....

I thought both cars were awesome, however I still cringe a little when I see a nice rust-free car getting cut up. But hey, at least it wasn't a 340/440/Hemi car, just a 318.

It was great to see Mopar get a little attention for a change from the big buck guys. I certainly wouldn't complain if they got their hands on my '68!

I think they cars they build are beutiful. Very detailed and the work they do if 2 weeks is nicer then I could do in 20 years.

Im not in the the huge 20" wheels and wild paint jobs but that doesnt mean the car was done wrong.

Some Mopar guys are just to hard core resto.

Yeah, the kinda guys who look for "date coded" washer fluid

Yup those guys. I have all the correct date coded rust on my car. Maybe they will buy it.

Those would have to be the same guys who always point out that I have a '70 rallye dash and doors on my '68. They never even seem to notice the mini-tubs, fiberglass hood, etc.

Oh well, I like it the way it is.

I liked the Cuda but i didn't care to much for the funky paint job on the Challenger or the streched out Rallye wheels, but that's just my opinion the owner seemed to really like it and that's all that matters.
I would love to have Rad Rides do my car but i know that's never gonna happen so i'll just be happy with what i got! :)
As for the so called experts on Moparts, there are a few decent guys on there but most of them are just jackass's!That's why i stopped posting there when i found this board,a lot friendlier bunch of gear heads! :D

Amen my brother! One day a bozo posted that the A body guys are a "Mikey Mouse bunch of wanna-be's", or some such B.S. like that, and that E bodies are real Mopars and blah-blah-blah-bla....... :knob:

Yeah, OK.... [-X

I made the mistake of joining in on "their" breakfast get together out in Las Vegas for the Mopars at the strip event. Me & my wife felt so out of place that by the time we got to the track we just ran on our own and advoided most of the crew. I definitely got the impression that I wasn't up to "their level" as far as knowledge or car status. A few of the guys made an attempt, but in a group? I was definitely the outsider...

The only positive remarks were about the **** STAR IN TRAINING T-shirt my wife was wearing....

Damn Fastback340 your wife sounds cool. That is a wicked TShirt. I laughed My A-- Off when I read that. :D

I watched both shows, I was a little irritated that they where going to cut up a decent 71 R/T. But They did the usual amazing job. So now instead of having a 1of 250 car He has a 1 of 1 Chip Foose Custom w/ video documentation. I love the rally wheels too. The cuda is one hell of a ride! I would have gone for a manual instead of the auto & Let Chip paint it the way he designed it.

i saw them too, that was some of the best TV iv seen in a long time,i liked how they keep saying how great Mopars are,an how bad *** they where back then, the Cuda was hella sick i loved the way she sat! :thumrigh: :thumrigh: :thumrigh: :thumrigh:

I liked both of them, although the rims were a little much if you had to drive them daily. If they used the same height and width tire with a 17" or 18" rim I'd like it even more, the taller sidewall would really set it off. But thats just my opinion  If they were to give me any of those cars, I wouldn't turn it down :D

To much bling bling. Not a fan of dubs yo.

I saw the Rides show too, and that was my thought as well for Joe's Cuda. Really, 22" wheels is a little much for my taste. I would have done more like the prostreet thing with some 33x21.5 MT Sportsman Pros, but keep the same stance. Now that would have looked really wicked from behind. :D :D
