WTB 64-66 Abody p/s shaft

I am trying to convert from manual steering to power steering in my 65 Barracuda and I need the steering shaft. Does anybody have one for sale?

Do you need just the shaft or the whole column?
I think I have one in the attic. I will check later today.

I needed just a shaft too for my 73' duster....i ended up buying an entire column for $55 shipped because nobody had just a shaft I do need another 73+ PS shaft though so 2nd on the needy list! :mrgreen:

Pishta, will this work properly even on a 73+ A-body? It is an interesting approach i like the creativity

Its just a metal shaft, not anything special. The pin is somewhat unique so you need to press out the old one in a hydraulic press (dont mushroom it using a hammer) and press in the same way. If you drill the hole large enough to slip the pin back in without a press, no problem as the pin is captive in the coupler, but youll get play in the steering if its rattle loose in the drilled hole. Move this to the question page so it doesnt flood the For sale section. Old shaft is a bear getting out if you dont have some small circlip pliers.
