WTB 68 GTS nose cone

I am looking for a grille nose cone/ornamant for my 68 GTS dart. Part number 2786511. No rubber/plastic reproductions please. Thanks

I will check with a guy I know. He had 3 68 dart GTSs at one time and had a spare as well as a NOS piece. Not ure if he still has them or not. This was 3 yrs ago

The person who used to reproduce the GTS center grill nose cones ceased production of those about 3 or 4 years ago. I haven't seen any repops since....

...seems i read somewhere only about 63 or some low number of cars were ordered with this piece but it might not be correct.Anyway a difficult piece to find.

the repops ... i had one ... they were nice reproductions ...you just had to reinforce backside stud... would break everythime due to vibration

is right the production percentage is very very low on this option .

I have one painted black that came with my 67. Someone put a 68 grille in at some point, car was in some sort of accident as pass fender has been replaced. I almost sold it for $10 to a friend, glad I didn't! Aren't those repops plastic?

yes, repops are plastic. That piece you have is worth some money my friend!!

They came out with the repop days before I was going to sell it. I'm going to restore it and the grille for wall art. Maybe I'll build a car around it!

Foumd another and paid Lots.
Anybody know the real story why they stop the option of offering then?
Is there a code on the fender tag of the few that received them from the plants?
