I see a guy most mornings at the local diner and when he opens his wallet his 8th Air Force card is always visible. He was a top turret gunner on a B-17 and flew over 20 missions over Germany he is 92 now so I don't know how much longer we will have him. He shrugs his shoulders and says he just did his job but saw too many die. He is a hero to me and lots of folks. I kid him and say didn't the 8th get all the easy jobs because they were always over Germany.
