I’ve tried to do it myself with what I beleve to be no success… any help would be appreciated getting the build date of this A833.

Short tail shaft unit. Seller claims it’s an overdrive unit but I can’t tell

At some point, New Process quit machining the rear pads when they were no longer needed. Just never changed the casting.

Thank you, I will therefore need to make a bracket to mount shifter farther back then where the mount holes are now correct?

The A-body needs a farther back shifter and longer linkage?

Did the vans use them and mount in that position??

That transmission is not for an A Body, A body Transmissions are short tail shaft and that transmission is a long tail shaft lots of fab work to try and I did read on here one member did put a long shaft in an A body, I would sell it and buy the correct A833 if it were me, that is why you don't see rear shifter holes drilled there were none on the long tail shaft models
