you can't ride two horses with one ***. I change my mind entirely too much.

I have 2 1969 dodge dart GT's. One I've owned since 1998 (we'll call it D1).

It was my first car and has a lot of sentimental value. The other for only a few years (D2).

It is a very solid car. D1 is rusty. Needs every panel that AMD makes. Covered in bondo back in 2002 and the rust is coming out of hibernation. D2 has a couple problem areas but should be fairly easy to fix.

I've never been a fan of having a nice paint job. Ever since the dart got painted (thanks dad) I was constantly worried about the weather, where I parked it, etc. I don't plan on ever selling the car but I'm sick of keeping both cars out of the elements. D1 can't get any worse it already needs everything.

The plan of attack is to stream line the operation. Have one car sell off all the other items that i'm not going to use for the next 10 years and quite changing stuff.

Number one 4 speed is going away. Don't regret doing the swap on D1 but I've been battling an oil leak since the swap was finished. Pulling the engine sucks, pulling the transmission sucks, feel like I'm going to break everything when I drive it hard, its expensive, the cf df clutch is grabby. I'm sick of messing with it. Tasha is sad cause she loved rowing gears. Don't get me wrong ripping 2nd on the limiter without lifting was great. Normal stop and go wasn't the most desirable. With enough money the 4 speed could do everything I want it to. But I'm out of that. With kid number 3 here and no time to do anything. I'll proceed with my rambling.

D2 was a slant 6 auto car. By selling all the 4 speed stuff I should be able to get all the parts wanted for D2. Tasha and I are on the same page about the car. Screw paint and body for now. Fix the parts that need to be fixed. (rear window corner (while the window is out), spare tire metal, etc)

Take everything from D1 and use it for D2 and leave D2 outside.

I will probably edit this later and change a few things but those that know me its nothing new.

Ummm you asking a question? Or looking for answers? Or rambling? :poke:

More or less rambling, day dreaming through the keyboard, looking to hear other stories of similar build choices.

Lol. I wish I had 2 "69"'s ... I'll be watching your build....You have tons of support here
