Young kids in classic cars...what do you do?

I went thru this up here in Canada with my 67 dart
I added anchors in the back for rear facing car seats.
I also added lap belts for my own piece of mind.
I would let my daughter ride in the front seat on her booster because there is no air bag. It was a battle with a few people till the air bag answer.

Even one cop had an issue, till i mentioned the lack of air bags. The cop was not very old so he probably didnt know seat belts were invented

Sorry, I initially went looking for safety seats for children and I’m distracted by the search engine. Anyway, since a place like Simpson (I Think) makes child seats that look and function like the real deal racing seats that adults use and found this and who would have think? This was on the quick;

Put a few pillows around the kid, go for ride SAFTEY IS OVER RATED so is common sense.

 

[Unconventional]

Used to ride in the back of a 67 Ranchero with a canvise top. Dad and Mom up front, 3 kids in back handing beer up front out of the cooler. 400 mile ride and we all made it.

'66 here Mojave Desert to Oceanside beaches on a pretty much weekly basis for the duration of the summers.
