Clear Plastic with Rubber Bands on Rear Seatbelts

It's official, rear seat belts were shipped with small clear plastic bags over them secured with rubber bands.

A friend's survivor car had them, wasn't sure if that was a factory thing or owner personal preference.

Saw a 10k mile survivor today, same thing.

Some of you may have known this already, for decades, or ordered one new and ripped it off, forgive my ignorance.

I think this stuff is cool and I'm a geek about it, so what.

I also think it's hilarious, all the over-restored cars are incorrect, deduct 10 points.

Bumble Bee stripes are decals, they are cut open for the marker lights, and pushed into the trunk.

Stop painting the stripes on, concourse fail.

Tail light blackout paint, the drip of paint goes all the way down, left side of left tail light only!

Come'on people.

In the early 80's, I worked in a shop that restored, repaired, etc., Mustangs. We had customers that would come in on the Monday following a show, and request whatever crazy thing that they lost points for. It was an addiction. They paid by the hour, so whatever they wanted! It's no wonder show cars end up in enclosed trailers. Some of them, that we knew well, we'd offer to look for psychological help. lol

engine paint on the ground cable ....my friend said thats the way they did it on his 69 charger 500

engine paint on the ground cable
But it has to be the correct length of paint on the cable or it's incorrect, I mean it's not like it was different everytime, and never the entire cable, including the pigtail and terminal, right?

I've seen a number of original unrestored cars lately, for some reason, and it's refreshing to see evidence that it was just a job.

Nowa day the people just buy the car and the previous owners trophies...:)

Me and a car bud were talking I said "well if ya replace the tires, brakes, water pump belts hoses a starter is it original?"

Sometimes you have to ask yourself, HOW KNOWLEDGEABLE ARE THE JUDGES? Would they know about this and this and this?

That was a problem I had with a national Motorcycle club; their judges didn't know what they were looking at, so gave a first place trophy to a very non-correct old motorcycle, and also published it in their archives and website as a bike to use for reference for other people restoring their bikes. I contacted them and let them know that the judges need to be more knowledgeable about these things before they can call themselves judges because they're polluting the hobby with incorrect information that others are taking as truth on their own restorations....
