    Jehovah's Witnesses

Gary Mule Deer tells of answering a knock on his door to find two JW's on his porch. He invited them in to sit on his couch. He asked them "what should we do now"? "We don't know", they said " We've never made it this far before"!

Any pond experts on the board?

Yes, and you don't need many, they will multiply like crazy. In a couple of years, you won't need to buy minnows to go fishing, just take a few out of the pond.

    Hot Tap Water...Faster

We have a closed loop plumbed on the hot water side and a small circulating pump at the water heater. Instant hot water at every faucet. This was done 20 years ago, so I thought it would be common today.

Have you ever been wrongfully detained?

I also got detained at the Canada border in 2014 trying to come back into the U.S. My passcard mis scanned and came up on their screen as armed and dangerous! Frisked and detained everyone in the car for about 45 minutes while they tried to figure out what to do, since my card wouldn't scan...

Have you ever been wrongfully detained?

2013- was driving my 2012 R/T Challenger back from a Mopar get together/race in Bowling Green Ky to Texas. We pulled off the Interstate near Cumby, Tx. to use the bathroom. I noticed a county Sherriff's vehicle had pulled off on the grass on the right side of the Interstate and was just...

    Veterans On the Board

I remember a junk yard outside of Ogden that had a 340 4 speed Duster I wanted but I couldn't come up with the bucks. I did buy a '73 Charger 340 auto while I was stationed there, and rebuilt the motor at the auto shop on post.

I was @ Ft. Riley 79-82. When you were there did you ever go to the little mom and pop dragstrip on the highway to Manhattan? I hear it's still open!

    WTH is wrong with people?

I was at a local car show about 2 years ago where a friend had a really nice 71 Cuda on display. It had a sign on both sides saying "please don't touch the car". I was visiting with him and another friend who is in his 70's. The car owner had to tell several people not to touch the car, to...

    Your Earliest Fast Car Experiences?

1977- Brother and I answered an ad in the paper: 69 GTX for sale 440 6 pack, 4spd. When we went to take it out for a drive, the guy's phone rang and he told us to go without him. Big mistake! This was in the summer and it had nearly bald snow tires on the rear! Brother got it up to 80 on the...

Ashcroft drag strip shut down...Now what?

It's happening all over. Strange in this era of muscle car popularity. The 2 closest tracks to me are under new ownership. At least the new owners decided to keep them open as dragstrips.

Loved this show as a kid.

I remember watching Lost In Space as a kid, and acting out the plots later in the back yard. I also remember watching that show, but not Star Trek because my parents thought it was stupid.

wrenching on your car in crappy weather

And then there was the time that I needed to pull a transmission out of a 61 Fury at a junk yard. It was muddy due to recent rain, but I talked the owner into setting a 55 gallon oil drum under the back of the car and into the mud I went. This was the old style where the bell housing was...

wrenching on your car in crappy weather

When I was 17 I bought a 68 Charger R/T out of a junk yard for $200 because it had a blown transmission and I had a new one at home. We lived in a small farming town that had gravel streets. We were determined to R&R that tranny that night, so a friend and I got after it with a bumper jack and...
