Need some help and advice on rear axles

You could get by with the 8 1/4 with 3:21s. Sure Grip. That will handle the load you're putting on it. Great video! Is that an old airstrip? Good luck with your project!

    U-Joint size Question..................

I would recommend 1350s given a choice. That's what I've decided to use in my Dart. 7290's are strong as well.

Go with the 3:91s. You won't be sorry. Good at the strip and good for street use. Sounds like a stout package.

    SureGrip Additive

I'm putting together my 8.75 and I'm ready to fill the "diff". Does anyone know if I have to put an additive in for the sure grip? If so, what do you recommend? I checked Royal Purple and it looks like nothing else is needed.

    Torque Converter ID

Does anyone know of an easy way to ID an aftermarket torque converter? Car club guy has what he claims is a BB 727 converter with a 3000 stall. It is 1-1/2" smaller than my stock one. If it is what he says, it's a good buy @ $100. Has never been installed.

    ring and pinion swap

I would check the ring gear. It will usually have the ratio stamped into it.
