Visiting a friend, and some dude is going around looking for the owner of my Charger. He wants to know if I want to sell it. Told him I didn't, it's my only car, and would need enough money to get another one. He asks how much, and I tell him $30,000. He says he doesn't really like Chargers, and I'm asking too much. WTF. I wouldn't sell my car cheap enough for him to make a ton of money on by reselling it? Leaches. One used to be able to get great cars cheap, but is anyone really driving around in a '69 Charger R/T, and not know that they are selling for a lot of money these days?

It doesn't happen to me very often, but I think I look like a jerk.

People have asked my friends how much my car is for sale for before, but not me.

No because I would have to be able to drive my car for other people to see it, lol.

Ya all the time. I had one guy asked me. "is it for sale?" I said no then he asked "How much a car like that go for?" Then I told him what I thought a car like mine would be worth and he ask. "Would you take that for it?" Then I had to tell him again no it is not for sale. Then he ask. "Would you take more than that for it?" And I sid no it is not for sale. Then he ask. "Well what would you take for it?" LOL some people just don't get it.

My car is always for sale but the price goes up and down depending on how much I want to sell it.

Right now with spring just around the corner……… I don't really want to sell it so the price is high.

In fact I have had 2 members this week ask about it. I need to e-mail one member a bunch of pictures…… But again, when I'm not actively trying to sell something I get lazy on getting the pics out.

All the time. One guy got mad because we wouldn't sell it to him. His reasoning was that we already had "too many cool old cars and it wasn't fair." Really weird.

A guy at work jokingly asks me how much I will sell it for. I tell him $20,000 and I will go home right now and get the title, usually shuts him up.

My neighbor's wife is always trying to buy my treasures but I think it's her way of helping me "clean" my yard.

LMFAO

I like it when you cap off a big number and the prospective buyer says " are you crazy?

I usually respond, "No, but, I was hoping you were." :)

A few years ago, when the market was better, I was asked quite often. Now, it's rare. MMG

I get asked very frequently with my 72 coronet. Don't see why people rag on 4-doors when apparently everybody wants mine...

With my 70 duster I bought it in the spring, and stored it all summer while I was working like mad through the busy season. Then in the fall I cleaned it up, gave it a tune up, and the first time I went to the gas station someone asked if it was for sale :p

Twice just recently on FABO, both came right out and asked how much I wanted for it. I PM'd one and told him 40K followed by silence, PM'd the other and told him first you're supposed to ask if it's for sale, so he asks is it for sale, I reply NO bugger off. :angry2:

I get asked, and reply yea for a ridiculous offer, they ask what is a ridiculous offer I tell them one that I will know when I hear it, AKA one that is too good to pass up.

yep fairly often when I am in the Newport I usually just say 20k and end up hearing about how it's not worth that much ect.... I say yha I know but you asked.

People come up to my house about 4 -5 times per year to ask if the Dart is for sale..

Also at weekend car meets and on the street..

well, i have been driving my duster for 2 days now, and have had at least 4 ask. but they have no intentions to buy it, heck half do not even know what it is. so why they ask is beyond me.lol

Someone asked me last summer, and I said no, and he said, "I have cash."

What did he think, I would sell it for chickens?

It happens quite often. I don't say its not for sale, just tell them a stupid high price for it. Btw, Why if it doesn't have a sale ad people ask?

When my car was parked in my driveway I had about two people a month stop by and ask if it was for sale. I had one guy tell me and I quote, "hey it's wasting away anyways just sell it man". I politely came outside and told him he needed to leave.
