A-Bodies...Big Motors / New Hemi Duster - FINAL ASSEMBLY

-
Last couple of months I been fine tuning the all the little stuff not to my liking after putting on the initial 300plus miles.

Initially the rear set-up was configured the parrallel 4-bar...but for grins I want to try it as a 36" bar/8" instant center 4-link....lets see how it bites.
I want to yank the wheels like my buddy Tony Fields...BTW..anybody going to the Indy Cyl sponsored show in Indianapolis March 2-4....I plan to attend...and stop by and meet some of the boys from that area

Maybe I can get Bro John to post a pic or two this afternoon

I don't know...the Hemi is all aluminum
maybe I'll put a concrete spare tire in the sparewell...you know...for ballast

That thing looked pretty hooked up (and wanting to launch) when
it was configured in the the parallel 4-bar mode......and you didn't
even have all of your ducks quackin' yet.

I predict that seein' some daylight is a no-brainer.

These will probably do it....after I'm done rollin' them around the parking lot to pick up all of the
gum wrappers and stray cigarette butts.

Initially, the front of the top bar was in the top hole (can't see it - it is way at the top and makes
the bars parallel). Now by dropping the front of the top bar it will provide even more lift on take off.

Denny added new webbed limiting straps to keep the axle drop in check when jacking the car up
etc - so it doesn't hang on the shocks and is experimenting with different durometer rated 4-bar
bushings for the perfect compromise between ride and handling.

Also note the new brackets (now headed to the powder coater) where the rear sway bar mounts
to the subframe. They utilize heim joints to promote supremely fluid suspension movement.

Denny finally finished installing his signature small tachometer in the upper left corner of the
windshield area. It hides behind the tinted part from the outside.

I'm pretty much out of new stuff for today without repeating myself.

I was going to shoot some parts, but every time I peered through
the viewfinder at a previously unoccupied spot, this is what I got.

What a ham!

I have to sleep now.
