since I dont have cany paint dies, I use a few drops of color in the clear to give it a colored chrome look, so far this are the only colors I can produce, I have tried others but they just dont work at all..

Why segment the paint job ? Will you not get tape lines ?

Nicamarvin, thank you so much. This is more helpful than you could ever know

I glad to help you guys out, if you have any questions just go ahead and ask please.

once you get the chemicals you let me know because their mixing ratios are not acurate for spray on chrome, but they are made for silvering glass.

here is a video of the bike´s headlight cover(Yamaha)

total cost of that piece for a DIY is $15 that´s all. so not bad at all for a DIY right?

Hi,
I'm doing a couple of Car restorations and would like to learn a little more about this process. I will mainly be restoring chrome pot metal interior and exterior parts but will also do some plastics. Nicamarvin said there was a slightly different mix-ratio of the Angelgilding silvers---would like to know that. Also for prep: Should the basecoat be black/grey/or other color 2K PU paint? Should the 2K PU topcoat be tinted to make the Chrome look? (I have been told the result may be a gold tone if PU is not tinted) Are multiple topcoats OK for added durability or would this dull the finish?
Thanks for all the previous posts!

It's all a waste of time and money. I spent thousands of $$$$ on state of the art Spray chrome machine. The things I sprayed and have them in the house are just like the day I sprayed the. On the other hand. The parts I sprayed for my motorcycles and cars. Only lasted until I drove them in the rain. What happens is, the road gravel hits the clear coat. Once that happens the clear cracks and wind blows water underneath. Discolors chrome. After a while clears peels off. The Cars and Bikes you see with Spray Chrome, are NOT ridden they are for show only. The cost of materials, are to exspensive for what you get. Spectra Chrome in Tamper Fl. are the worst. Once I bought there machine, they didn't want to answer any of my questions. But would if I payed them. The people I sold my spray both to over 6 months ago. Still can't get a good quailty product. Do NOT waste your time and MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~
