A 1966 Plymouth Fury VIP 2 door HT 318 poly / Auto on column or a 1974 Plymouth Satellite with a roadrunner hood 318 / auto on column.. will come with console and roadrunner cluster.. both cars are running but need work also both cars have solid bodies w/ no rust.

I may have my choice of one of these two cars for free coming up soon but the problem is, I'm not a fan I either one but "free" is always good.. I checked out google images and both cars have potential to be pretty cool.. I just wanted to get an idea of what you guys would do in my situation.

VIP, Chrysler was doing everything right in '66, by '74 the cars were not built as well.

Either, you said it free is free! Fury is cool, but a Roadrunner clone is too. I know I'm not helpin'! :)

I feel the 66 would be more fun and a little lighter but the 74 would be the safer car that hold the road better and safer if you were to crash it.

I would really have to see both cars in person to decide, how the chrome and trim looks might push me over to one.

The 66 has less to worry about smog wise and you might have an easier time when ever you sell it or you could move out of state and not worry about passing smog test.

Ditch the bumper guards and polish that chrome :glasses7:

People don't bump bumpers parking now of days.

It is a nice car and I bet comfortable, maybe more so then the 66

Satellite, hands down! These cars ,so well balanced.Stick some wide tires, bigger rims. These handle, with Road Runner specs.

easy question for me .....Satellite all the way ......a c-barge is nice but is not as versitile as a B-body .....

the Satellite has more you can do with it to make it cool..... like a roadrunner hood and such

the fury is a grandpa car no matter what you do to it

The C body is a heavy car and a poly mill is not easy to find performance parts for. I would go with the Satellite. Just my 2 worthless pcs of fake alloyed metal.:happy1:

I'm still trying to get past the rust free, free part...lol. I suppose i would take the Satellite. And by the way, i hate you....:D:D:D.

No question. the 66 Fury is 10X cooler

X2...And that's because I own one.
And P.S. This Fury Ain't No Grandpa Car!!

Fury, its no question. Ive wanted one of these since I first saw one, such a slick car.

Fury Fury Fury!!!! the 60s cars are so much tighter than the 70s, the build quality of my 66 A-body is way way way better than my 76 chrysler B-body. The opportunity to do something different is more with the 66, turn that poly into a 360 stroker poly or hell even a 408 poly! then go rat hunting on weekends in your burly, sleek, SOLID, fire breathing fury......now i want one....geez.....

66340, cool satellite and furiousvip, too freakin cool.. That would be the direction I would go with the fury....you guys have great feedback but I'm still unsure.. Hehe..
Both of the cars I'm talking about are Nevada cars w/ no rust so a pretty good start on both of them.. Here's a picture of a fury that I found while searching google images. It's not a 66, but similar and looks pretty Mean... I also like the big tires on the rear of the RR/Satellite with butt end Jacked up. Preferably black w/ white RR stripe..Still torn..

My vote would be for the Fury. I've wanted 1 for some time now but can't find a good deal.

Fury hands down! Way more style than the mid '70s cars any day & you don't have to "clone" it into something else to make it cool. Throw a big block in it & noone will ever know it's not stock.
