I answered a local ad near my home and met and made a new friend too! He has a nice west coast 69 Dart and he is going through it. its one nice solid car. Anyhow he sold me 4 rallye wheels. They are all small bolt pattern. The fronts are 15X7 and the rears are 15X8. I do not know the front and backspace on them but the rears fit a Swinger with tires on them leaving about 1/2 inch clearance. All four wheels are from Wheel Vintiques. Two were mounted on a car with tires and the other two never have been messed with. In short all four of these are new. I did not know there were 15 inch Rallye Wheels? Are these decent wheels. They look great. I will post a picture or two when I unload them and get the two tires dismounted.
Chas.

Update, here are a few pictures of the two wheels without tires on them. They appear to have 4.5 inch backspace on them. They measure 8 and 9 inches on the outside edge and 7 and 8 on the inside of the bead. They are small bolt pattern too!!

Super nice find, nice to have! Yeah, you can get the 15" SBP in the newly made wheels.

The two 15x7's will fit right on your 70 swinger with a tire size of 255/60-15 and should have no problems. That is what I have on the back of my 70 Swinger. I actually have a total of four 15x7's two for my street tires and two for when I get a set drag radials.

You scored, bro. Those are nice! Mopar never made a SBP 15, but you can get them now.

I never seen 15 inchers before. The basic plan is to get some rubber on the 7 inchers and stick them on the back of my car with the 14 inch rallyes up front. The only issue I see is getting some sort of trim rings to match the front ones even though the rears wont go all the way down to the base. Maybe eliminate the rings, put wheel opening trim on the car giving it an entire new look?

$200.00 bucks too much to pay for them? Seemed like a good deal to the guy I bought them from and me too!!!

I'd have paid $200 for all 4, definitely. If you're not going to use the 2 8" wide ones, I'm sure someone else could make good use of them and you can get a chunk of your money back. Or, put that $ toward a brand new set of trim rings that do match (2 14 and 2 15).

heres the same wheels you just picked up, on my duster. 15X8 on the rear and 15X7 on the front. I love the look as they fill up the wheel well nicely, and still maintain a factory look. I never liked the look of 14 inch wheels on A bodys, as there to darn small.

Actually I am keeping the 8 inchers. Gonna be doing a Demon or Duster and I know they will fit nicely back there. I like these types of rally wheels on my cars. I have two extra 14 inch small bolt rallye wheels so I can just make a set for the next car. Just have to find a decent one. Thats after I get rid of the 87 Sportster, the 225 Slant Six performance stuff, a few misc parts. Have not had time to get this stuff out and at Christmas time its just not time to sell stuff, AND I OUGHT TO KNOW!!!

I've got the same set for my '69 Dart !!For $200 you'd be crazy not to buy them !! I think you'll also find that they they've been Powder Coated (Gray)from the factory also !!! Awesome score to say the least !! :prayer:

70408dart, thanks for the tire size info. I was thinking 245x60s out back might fit but 255s will even look better. Hey Fanofpetty. If you have the time and maybe the pictures could you shoot me some of those wheels close up to see them rings? I have a guy in Indiana who sells new rings and I can call him telling him what I have, what I saw, and maybe get some for the new wheels. Thanks to all for the comments and info. Cant wait to see these on my car. On the back side the rubber is just WAY to small now!!
Chas.

Hey 6pak, it feels like powdercoat but says on the orange sticker that the 'paint is not waranteed'?? At any rate the other wheels with the tires on them have some rust 'flash on them on spots. I was going to have them media blasted and just repaint them. Heck, I have 5 cans of Mopar wheel paint just looking for a place to go after the wheels are ready. I am going to do just what I did with the wheels on my car now when I restored them. Several coats of machinery gray after being primed then a few coats of argent silver. They will look as nice as the ones I have now!!

my trim rings are just some original mopar 15 inch brushed rings I had lying around for years. They originally were on a 71 GTX.

A friend of mine picked up a set brand new, 15x8 inch for the back and 15x4 inch for the front, never mounted for $180. Smoking deal. Lol

Dennis and Chaz, it IS powder coating but it's a zinc based primer they shoot in-house. It's not only chemically incompatible with most powder manufacturers' products, it's on there so thick you'll almost have to paint them -- be ready Chaz, because only excessive blasting will remove it (and getting a good ground even then is impossible if you decided to go with powder). I'll never work on another rim from Wheel Vintiques.

Hey fanofpetty , what size tire are you running , front and rear on that great looking Duster ???

Frank
Frank, my duster has 275X60X15 on the rear and 215X65X15 on the front, Thanks for the compliment on my duster!

i got these from summit, 15x7's

How do the 15x6.5's affect things? I have a set of 4 I was going to run on my Swinger, but I'm not sure what tire sizes to run.

I have the wheel vintique 15x8 SBP on the back of my 68 fish and with 275-60s they fit perfectly. On the front I use the 14x5.5 stock SBP wheels and the stance looks good to me.

But those steel wheels sure are a heck ova lot heavier than the centerlines on my drag car!

Somehow the local powdercoater I use got the WV wheels I took them to look and work good with powdercoat. I had them do it cause I had already done a set of stock front rallys and wanted the rear WV rallys to match. They didn't clear coat over the silver the first time and I had to take it back so they could. Wouldn't match otherwise.
