P.S. I saw your post on the BB thread about Mean Green. That article was my first recollection of Joe Sherman. I never forgot his name after that and always read about engine builds when his name was mentioned.

I got just about every mag. by subscription from 1970 to the early 90's. and I do remember that car specifically. I believe it was titled 9sec for 5k.....something like that.

When I moved from Fl to Va in 2005, I had well over 2000 magazines. Unfortunately, the wife said.....no go. I hate to think about where they ended up today, but let's just say, i think she owned stock in our counties recycling center....:banghead:

i first saw that article about sherman when i was in 5th grade in the school library.read it everytime we went there.even built my red alert chevelle model into shermans mean green.i remember a few articles like that that stood out for me,like buddt ingersolls a/mp camaro,like 287 cubes and twin dominators and 2 inch header tubes...lol. and yes very accessible dist. now.might not be a good thing,lol
 
thanks keith,its come a long way.if i swap an ls1 into the guy that painted jeffs car s car a 59 custom imp.hewill paint mine. i want petty blue with the black i have now....should look nice....
 
I'm lovin' your car Mike. I have to keep going back and looking at your engine pics. Even though i've seen some sideways 4150's many moons ago, that Dom makes your engine look like a V6....lol. Super cool!!!

thanks rick,the car has come a long way from beat up commuter that ran on 7 cyls.to looking and sounding like a musclecar.now if i could get the fuel pressure to stay above 5 psi at full throttle i can try the nitrous...and thanks gt rick tat was cool...lolshould have had that stuff done for the show.talk about things that make you go hummm.lol

Hey mike I scored that 426 stroker small block from a guy here on the forum. It's teasing me sitting on the stand in my garage I want to put it in something dammit! Started putting the 360 in ol blue back together. I sent that roller cam off to have it reground a little more aggressive. I was going to ask you what stall are you running? I know you have 4.56's but I just scored a real nice tranny and 3k stall but I'm worried about that being too high for street use. What you think? Hope all is good my man talk to you later. Any good shows coming up in your area?

man a 426 thats badass!use the 3000 it wontbe too much.mine was a 3500 now its a3000.i think you should use the trans also.little blues gonna scream!
