I need a new drive shaft for the GV overdrive I'm installing , what's the best

ALU or steel , carbon fibre I think will be too expensive . Keeping the original to put back in if I ever decide to sell the car .

AL would be the best option, CF is more expensive and in your situation it isn't need, and would be dbl the cost of AL.

With the GV it shortens the shaft so you can stay with the lighter 3" AL and get as much perf and mpg by less weight.

I had my stock one cut down. 100$ out the door. No issues.

No , going to keep the stock one so I can put the car back to original spec when or if I sell it .
