Got any 16in Gm wheels and tires ?

For what kind of car?

I kept the rins and tires off the 99 Grand Prix when we stripped it. I just put new $500 skins on them less than a year before... (Nice grippy Goodyears)... I can use them on my Impala if I need to....

Bought a car from a friend that was going to trade it in. Thought I could make a little change on a flip. Cleaned it up, Put it over on my local park and ride Friday beside many other nice vehicles for sale. Got a call Sat morning at 6am from the local police.
This is what I found...............

Man, that sucks. F*cking thieves... :finga:

You can't leave it parked there overnight or they take your tires... :banghead:

If mine would fit, how would you get them to you? I'm in Chicago, you are on the east coast...

Yeah, Good news is, I was still waiting for the title from my friend, so he has insurance on it. He made a claim yesterday. I scrounged some half *** stuff to bolt on to the car, but couldn't drive it as it was. Paid another towing buddy $100 to get it back to my place. Guess I'll hear from an adjuster this week. We'll see how it all plays out. My buddy didn't cash my check for the car yet.

Have you tried:

www.car-parts.com

It's a nationwide database of salvage yard inventories across the country and Canada. You can do regional searches near you to find something...

Or put some 22"s on there... LOL!!!

Looks very similar to a set by buddy let me try yesterday. Problem was , they were hitting the calipers, front and rear. Caddys and big GMs have bigger brakes , so need clearance on their model specific wheels

Gonna need to see what his Ins co does, before I buy anything. I am thinking that they will pay him the 2k he was going to trade for. Then give me back my check, since I will have to re shoe the car.

Mine was the supercharged GTP edition. I don't know if your brakes were bigger or not...

Like in my other post, try www.car-parts.com and see what comes up near you.

My brother is an insurance adjuster, and he uses that site for his job to establish prices and availability for some claims.

Will do.

If the rims are cheaper than totaling out the car, then the adjuster will cut a check for the rims and tires. I think that they use about 75% of the value of the car for damages to total it out, or somewhere close to there... Chances are that the adjuster will know about www.car-parts.com

i'm hoping to get the car for free, minus the wheels. LOL

Nothing wrong with that... :D

As long as your buddy doesn't keep the insurance check, the car, and give you your original check back.... #-o

and then sell the car himself... :evil3:

Good morning, starting first cup. Went to MoparSquad's for a fire last night, rained instead so sat in his shop and listened to oldies on his jukebox

I just did a quick search for the rims on car parts in my are and the rims range from $150 - $300.

The $300 say that they are "like new insurance quality" for $294 each...

There are some in the $150 range that say "no damage" but I would look at them in person before buying.

when I bought some spare rims for the Jeeps so I could put full size spares on them, I went to the yard and one of the rims had a good scrape on the edge of the rim about 60° around and may have gotten a little bent in the process, so I didn't get that one, but found two other good ones. It's best to look at them in person or have them send you a good picture of the actual part before you hand over any money...

So if you can get the insurance company to cover the $300 per rim plus tires, you may have a good deal if you can then get a good clean set of the "bargain" $150 rims...

Hi Pete.

We had a fire in the pit last night here...

We are supposed to get some rain today... It smells like it outside...

Hey Mitch, when I looked back at my rim search, there was a yard with three of them in MD for $250. That may be close to you...

Zoom on on this to see it better. I highlighted them in red...
