So its not Mopar, but it is my first project. I bought a 71' Demon a few years back and was about to start on it when my Grandpa gave me this old 56' Chevy 3100 that had been sitting in his pasture for 30 years. I decided to start his pickup before my car so it doesn't sit outside for another couple of years. So yes it is not mopar but I figured this way I could get some practice in before I do my demon. I am 18 and this is my first attempt and any sort of body work so bare with me. Any helpful comments are appreciated. I have plenty to learn! So this is where I started.

Those are some of the nicest looking trucks ever made when they're done up nice. Enjoy working on it and the family connection just makes it that much better. I'm sure you'll learn a lot & do a fine job making it presentable. One plus is, a lot of stuff is available for them, and that sure makes things easier.

I was very eager to get started with the bodywork and so instead of waiting for the body hammers I ordered I decided to make a patch for the floor pan above the transmission with minimal tools...bad idea. Ill have to beat out a bunch of highs and lows I created with the ball peen hammer. But for my first patch ever I thought it wasn't too bad. Just needs the extra cut off which I did just forgot the picture.

Well didn't really think this over either. I definitely jumped the gun doing the seat up nice and purdy before anything else. But I had an idea and went with it. Just adding a touch to it that Grandpa will like. Made the seat cover outta old work jeans...and saved a couple hundred!:cheers: Only now it has to stay in my bedroom til I'm ready for it.
Well Dad built a new shop this spring and we finally got it done. Which means I finally got my pickup in to work on it! Got the windshield out and got a good look at the work that I have ahead of me. That darn rust!:banghead:

My brother has a 55 Cameo they are sharp trucks.
Got the passenger door off and needed to get the door skin off to beat some dents out and patch some holes, but the sucker wouldn't come. After a night of hard thinking and completely ignoring my gut I took the zip wheel to it and got it off...in a couple pieces....:violent1: but anyways got to patching it up. Got the door mostly done just needs put back together. Which college started and I havn't got around to piecing it back together yet.

I love that seat. Are you thinking Blue on the exterior? I personally would consider a bright white. After all, it is a little forgiving as far as perfect bodywork is concerned.

Haha yeah I suppose I'm probably going a little overkill with the pictures. But my plan is to go two tone with blue and white. But not a sharp blue. Just a lighter nice blue
No such thing as picture overkill! Cool project, I'll continue to check out this build.
And now I am sitting at college wishing I was home working on it, but unfortunately the progress on the pickup is really gonna slow down while I'm at college. Hopefully ill be able to go home and work on it here or there. I'll keep ya posted with any changes.

Enjoy your school experience. I never had the opportunity, but did live the lifestyle thru a few of my friends that went to U of Md. 
My neighbor had a 74' (square style) C10 as his daily driver. It was two tone Baby Blue & White, Med Blue interior and had tall tires with Cragar wheels. Was absolutely beautiful.

Went home last weekend and was able to get a little bit of work done. Started patching the windshield channel. Man it is going to be a chore. I didn't take many pictures but with only a day to work on it I didn't accomplish much. Every little bit helps I guess.

Put a Mopar engine in it and piss off all the Chevy guy's!
If you are doing all the metal repairs, the duster will be easy.
Also sweet shop with alot of space to work in.
Pay attention in college, it made my life alot easier financially, in my grey hair years.
