Have the dist out and a primer rod with 1/2 drill in there. Trying to turn motor over with one hand while in car, while priming with the other is NOT fun

Wouldn't just turning the pump show if oil come up? I am not to well versed on the oiling passages on these.
This is only if cam was drilled in the right spot. I dont think cam builders know what that hole is for so they put it wherever sometimes.Im doing the math now. I found where they say the right side gets oil right at TDC firing stroke. Crank turns twice for every one cam rev, but the left side oiling is not 180 deg from the right side
