Driver's side
Has any one installed a sway bar on a 64 Valiant equipped with drum brakes , having a heck of a time with installation, bar comes in contact with ball joint on drivers side, other side is OK, "FRUSTRATED"

are you sure the sway bar is for Early a body? they are a different size.

The only difference on the lower arms are the mounting tabs. It is easy to make or buy tabs that mount on the shock bolts. Some front mounted disc Brake calipers interfere as well. Ways around that as well.I understand the factory sway bar set up was an option, even on the 235 HP GT, and requires a special lower control arm for the option, is this correct? Thanks
My thought for a sway bar is to attach to the drag strut where it attaches to the LCA. Before anyone says "crazy, will bend the strut", that is the factory design in my 1965 Newport.
It could work. I always thought that kind of connection was "soft" . sloppy.Seems like we lost the OP. Why do they ask a question, then disappear? Sounds like the OP has a sway bar for a 67+ car which is ~1" wider between frame rails, and thus front wheel track width. My early A's don't have the LCA tabs. I knew I'd get ****. Just a pet peeve of mine.
OhBeg pardon? I was referring to the OP.

B Bodies up thru 66 used the same design.
And after 72..and. trucks do too,but the thing is they all have bigger strut rods than an a body.
