After 5 1/2 years on the road as a daily driver and shifting three on the tree enjoying my 170 slant 6 all the way  it's time for an update so I can continue the pleasure I get when I head out on the road in my MoPar. :steering:

But first she needs an update on the brakes. So I went to the Ram Man and enjoyed a little telephone time and watching his Video's on youtub and seen a bunch of advantages to staying all MoPar with his set up that was ready to install on my early 66 Plymouth Valiant.
Thanks Ram man  this kit simply went right back on by it's self for me and my friend with a lift and a strong set of shoulders :thankyou:

Oh yes ! search Mopar Brake kits on ebay and you will see all his stuff, he is all so big on Truck brake updates and in the videos you seen he should have said his web site. He is very strong on American built parts and a hoot to talk to.

Here you go, I must say he knows his stuff and as you can see in my pictures I posted his parts are ready to bolt in

It was a long wait to have my turn on the lift but that day did finely come for me

Lookin Awesome Mikey !!! Now time for a V8 ?
Yes sir, but next up is the rear end switch from the little 7 1/4 to the bigger 8 1/4
We are building it right now, all new pinion bearings, carrier (New sure grip) Bearings and axle bearings for strength for the long haul and a few blasts down the track, it is on the bench right now

v8 will make the car a lot more fun.. you will love it..

as far as those brakes go.. i don't see any threads sticking out or cotter pin in that upper ball joint. is there a set screw or something instead? i prefer the larger ball joint myself so i bought new upper arms when i did jamies dart.. guess the small ball joint with a sleeve will work though.. should stop a ton better thats for sure..

I took that problem and did this Joe, I feel the need to have a cotter pin and it was way to easy sir

yea i'd prefer a cotter pin too.. i'm sure it has enough thread engagement but man it looks funny....

he makes a D100 kit too that the spindle nut has no threads sticking out and uses a set screw i believe. . between that and the $1800 price tag i decided to go scarebird. one of these days i'll get around to putting it the kit on the truck.

Good job Mike...

I like that you are going with a sway bar.... :steering:
The front sway bar and nice newer rear springs we put on a year or so ago sure woke her up in the turns and I don't need air shocks anymore krazykuda

simply fantastic! nothing wrong with ANY of that - and a cool tweak or two along the way - nice! Mike, are you going to do a separate thread for your V8 conversion?

It will all be here Mike, I am starting with my brake updates and will add my 360 and 904 build after sir :thankyou:

I forgot to say that when I received this great kit from @theramman.com the first thing I did was clear coat some parts and blacked the ones I wanted to, to keep them looking fresh under Victoria as my update moves forward.

I'll miss the old Victoria, with the /6 and the rally wheels. But I understand the need for speed and you wanting to upgrade to a V8. I just loved her the way she was.
Your obviously going to need wheel/tire change now that she's big bolt pattern. Will you stick with rally's or you have something else in mind?

I like the Rally's, going to be hard to top them, I like the 70/71 centers, (not so much the later models) Up in the air, but yes ! would be nice, I do want to stay 14''
I drove her for 6 years and she was a great driver, my legs and shoulders was very tired of shifting and I don't have to tell yea how hard it is to find a good auto to fit behind a early 170/ .. we was ready MHD .. Thank you. Hope I am doing all of y'all proud as an owner

You're doing us all proud Memike. You going to take a little time and clean up, maybe paint that engine bay before the new engine goes in?

Mike, take a close look at that and make sure it's not a crack.

So good to hear that MHD, yes, I am going to clean and prep for color before it's all dun, I have the quart of enamel single stage for under the hood stored in his paint booth. I need to pull the truck pan and put the A body 360 pan on this still .
