my mild 318 sent my 7.25 to hell while doing a power break to adjust my timing.
The hunt begins to find a E C B Body housing to cut!Yep that is where the break. Time for something bigger.
Yup! Finishing this one up for my stick shift Dart before the 7 1/4 blows.Time for a Dana 60.
I never would have thought of that.Power break to adjust timing
Fixed it!Hell didn't make this 7-1/4" axle. I thought you would bring it back to Mopar.
Some got their Brakes and Breaks mixed up. Some others again seem to just break stuff by just using their brakes...
Weld up the spiders BEFORE they break!
"Lincoln Locker" last you long long time
hahah ya to see it pings to set back my timing a bitA power brake to adjust timing? What are you going for super Forum hero right out of the gate? aren't you a new member? Well let me be the first to say- " I'm not worthy!"
The worst part is i swaped in the original rear back but now i guess the trans got toasted as well just my damn luck
haha ya maybe get a good stall in and a shift kit!!The Newbie thing came from me thinking it was "unconventional"starting the thread. still- "I'm not worthy!"
Oh thank goodness it's only $105 fix. rebuilding a 904 transmission is easier than rebuilding a carburetor! Rebuild kit only costs $105. You dodged the bullet it being only the transmission. It'll cost you $200 for a ring and pinion for any rear end. by the time you spend $200 on a transmission you'll have a new transmission with a badass shift kit.
