Stop in for a cup of coffee

Evening all.

Back from the doctor, looks like I dodged a bullet. My knee buckled yesterday going down some stairs, hurt like a biotch but wasn't concerned until the swelling still hadn't gone down this afternoon. Got in with the doc, looks like I've simply suffered another patellar tendon sprain and not a tear of it or the ACL

Your warranty is up. It isn’t the age...it’s the miles.

Did a bunch of heavy lifting sat and sun. Hip and knees are showing their age. Suffering today, had to watch my steps.

Ain't that the truth. I'm 31 with knee problems since I was 20. That's never a good thing. Speaking of miles, I wonder how many miles I have on my knees with a ruck. I've done a lot of ruck matches, Has to be a few hundred. Add in the running, I'd bet it'd be a couple thousand.

yeah. My two year old wanted to play "airplane" tonight where he holds onto my legs as I lift him into the air and I could barely do it. He weighs 25 lbs .

My warranty was up about 10 years ago. Tore the meniscus in both knees, 3 weeks apart. Spent a month in a wheelchair and 6 weeks with a walker. After that was 2 years with a cane.

Never care to repeat that.

Good evening, keeping up with the coffee thread but just haven't had much to add. Wet & chilly on my days off so nothing done to the Fury, in fact it is covered with oak bloom.

While on the subject of doctors, just had a bunch of tests and everything is great! I may not have wealth, but I have good health. I have been running a little, just because I still can.

Keep on moving while you can and don’t stop until you can’t move anymore!

Wealth is overrated...

Yeah when I tore the ACL in 2008, I had a partial PCL and meniscus tear. Only the ACL was fully replaced, the others were trimmed . They took part of my patella tendon and used it as my ACL donor, then in dec of 2012, I sprained the patellar tendon. And then hyper extended in the following month at which time there was a tiny tear that the doc said didn't warrant surgery.

Coincidentally it'll be 10 years ago for me this coming fall.

I’m 24 years older than you. Your warranty expired early.
Ive also beat the crap out of my body in ways probably only a small percentage of folks in America do. Carrying 150 pounds of gear plus my own body weight for dozens of miles for really no point surely didn't help. Especially running with that much weight. Throw in the other stuff and boom, instant knee issues for life

Time to stop that crap then...and find a way to live with what you have left.

I played football for 8 years as an offensive and defensive lineman. That’s what destroyed my knees...and shoulders...and back...and spine...

And I fully intend too. 14 months left under contract

Rearview mirror arrived today. Got here faster from the Canadian border than some stuff I ordered coming from Texas. US Post Office beat Fed Ex - go figure.

Opened the box - whoa - a little musty.
What's a good a way to de-musty a mirror?

I gave a twice over with Spray 9, a toothbrush and a rag. It smells more like spray9 now, but not mountain air fresh, not even Philadelphia air not so fresh.

Get some cheap vodka and put it in a spray bottle and lightly mist it. As the alcohol evaporates it will take the bad smell with it. Cheaper the vodka the better.
