What's your combo?

Stock 72 318 short block (fresh rebuild from back in the late 80's), 67 318 heads ported with 1.88" intakes and 1.60" exhaust valves, 8.6 compression, windage tray, medium cam, Edelbrock true roller double roller timing chain, Rhoades lifters, LD4B intake, 600 Holley vac secondary, with stock 273 early A exhaust manifolds so it will fit the 66 engine compartment...

I'm trying to make it look like a factory 273 install...

No cam?

Medium cam....

Actual degree info:

.423"/.433" lift
274°/274°
108 ICL
110 Lobe center
54° overlap
Nice choice.

Tim put this one in the ‘66 with the 318 I got from him. The heads are 714 closed chamber heads with stock exhaust manifolds.

Crane Cams 15005
Energizer Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft
Lift: .454" /.454" Duration: 272°/272° RPM Range: 1800-5200

Crane makes a good cam... That one should run very nice....

Jeez, raining sideways heavy now. It is pounding on the garage door and the wind is ripping.

I’m really feeling the efforts of moving all that paver base yesterday, probably be worse tomorrow. The second day after is always the worst for me. At least the heavy rain will level the stuff for me.

Time to go to bed and try to sleep...and forget about the miserable work week ahead until tomorrow starts.

I’m not sure how much more of this I can take...but I will persevere and try to make the best of it.

I need something better to happen...soon.

Hope you have a good week Dave. (at least bearable)

This will be interesting. Which Rhoads? regular or V-max? I've use both. Seems like the V-max does 't get to full lift until 4000. Thats just a gut feeling - can't prove it - too many other variables.
