Location
Very South Jersey
I've had a Valiant/Duster bolt on hood w/ Harwood type scoop and a pair of later Dart Sport/Duster doors on CL for a while.
The hood, over a year for $150, the doors for a couple months, for $100.
I bought the hood from a FABO member to get a pair of glass fenders that came with it.
The hood is very serviceable and the doors have a little rust along the bottom edges, no other damage or filler.
No bites on the doors, a few hits on the hood.
Am I asking too much, or maybe the market is limited here in South Jersey?
I want them gone, and it says so in the ads. I need the space (not to mention the cash)!

You gotta realize what you have for sale is for a very, very, limited buyer market, out there in Mopar land.
Then trying for a local market, is even more taxing.
Good luck to you, anyways.

Fewer and fewer people into these cars. Try other more racey boards or specialized A body sites... Or just toss them.

Many people seem to cart around junk to swap meets loading, unloading, loading back up, unloading, reloading, posting ads, spending time dealing with tire kickers, haggling, all the while having a mindset of "I've got to get x amount of dollars for such and such" blah blah blah, flea market comes to mind. I mean, I wanna get rid of ****, i dump it, got better things to do, like stare at the wall and drool.....money under the bridge. Take it to a sale one time and dump it, I'm done with it. To cart **** back and forth like some of these guys do good Lord! Half the **** you can't give away, but keep carting it around like its a retirement plan? In general..... LOL:realcrazy:

Key things to selling is being transparent honest and upfront about descriptions and multiple clear photos are a huge help.

Pricing is fickle. I put up a Poly 318 2X4 for what I know think is to much mainly cause I don’t know the market.
I sold a Magnum RPM-AG in 2 seconds flat because it was cheap. (I guess it was? LOL)
But no matter what I sell, I say *** amount shipped to your door.

And that’s the final thing. Getting the part to the people rather than the people to you is easier for selling, not for you.

Go and take some snap shots, post them up and let’s reveiw what you have and how your doing it.

Whats the hood look like and for what years? Post those parts on here.

is this the hood? if so its a really small market of people that will want that thing.. plus only a single picture. no underside pics?

if its been for sale that long then yes its priced too high...

sometimes its easier to just drag the **** to the curb...

i just unloaded a ton of abody stuff for $150 just to get rid of.. guy who bought it sells at the swap meets. i couldn't be bothered dragging it all over to piece out so i gave it all to him dirt cheap.. hopefully he makes some money on it.

Post it with year etc can't sell it if nobody knows what it is

he has that in the ad..

70-72 Duster, 69-72 Valiant. Bolt on hood, was pinned on. Scoop was added. A few chips and scrapes. Never painted.
Scoop appears to be a Harwood.
Make an offer! I want this thing gone!

Sheetmetal is a hard sell, because like previous people said its hard to get people to where you are. And its a small market for this stuff, even smaller in N.J. where most of those cars are gone. Although i have heard greyhound isnt too bad shipping sheetmetal.

I have an even smaller market for dodge daytona parts. Seems nobody kept those cars. Most likely i will be taking a lot of that sheetmetal i saved across the scales at the scrapyard if i cannot sell it.

Supply and demand, plus location, condition, and price are all big factors. I never had much luck on craigslist selling stuff. Also try facebook auto trader

Craigslist people are really cheap. Try eBay, Racing Junk, with pictures like you would like to see before you bought it, warts and all.
