Moved from Ohio to Huffman 4 years ago. Theres some Mopars in my neighborhood, including a 1968 Hemi Roadrunner, and a Mopar shop at 1960 and 2100. But I do not see anyone really driving their old Mopars other than me. I drive my junk every damn day to work and back.

I moved to this area ( Shepherd 1 hr n of hoston) 1 1/2 yr ago. It wasn't the weather or mopars that brought me here! Forth poplation here, there are NO mopars! Came from Springfield Joplin Mo area, right on old route 66 and tons of old car activity and cars, mopar is the lesser no doubt! Seems like lots more old car and mopar stuff around Austin and Dallas like said. I am TOO old to change over to GM! or FERD!!!!!!

Used to drive my stuff all the time but sold all but one and now that I'm about to be divorced, the one that's a project may never see the light of day. And does that shop on 1960 and 2100 belong to Paul Wright? If he's still the owner, everyone around here knows him.

The Houston has NEVER been a Mopar town....even back in the 60's. It is pretty good to see so many of the new Challengers running around though....brings back the memories when the first gen E bodies were running around back in the day. Lots of people had roadrunners etc here back when they were new but Chevy and Fords dominated the landscape :( however, there were usually our fair share of Mopars at the track on even given weekend.

I believe it is Paul that owns that shop. Looks like he turns out some nice cars. Seems everyday there is something else in front of his shop.

I own an icehouse called Texas 146 Hideout, just east of your Shepard location. You are welcome to bring that old Mopar over on Sat and Sun.
Thought about having a Mopar only car meet the last Sunday of each month. Of course it's a long drive for folks from the Houston area, but it is a nice drive on country roads once you get off US59 or I10.
And you probably gonna get a few bugs on your car. I am not afraid to drive my 72 Swinger or 62 Belvedere up there.
81 CR 2125 is the address. 10mi North of Moss Hill on TX146N. Just South of Rye.
I live in Cove and attend the car show at Home Depot in Clear Lake Shores on occasion.
Email me if you need directions. I'd be glad to have that Mopar come visit.

I think Paul sold the shop on 1960 & 2100. Last saw him he was working out of his home, further East on 1960.

I live 30 miles East of Livingston. Not to far from you at all. I would be down for some kind of a gathering if yall get something together. Slowly putting together my Duster but I can bring the Dakota, or the Durango, or the Ram, or the R/T, or.......I got it bad. lol But yes, this is bowtie country but they are so fun to beat up on. In the words of GTO from Two Lane blacktop. "They get hysterical".

My ford buddy and I have decided since we are the minority here we have been pretty much on the same team for 20+ years. He has a brutal big block 01 GT mustang. He lives not far from Moss hill near honey island.

There is a what I assume is a large general car show at Wolf Creek at Lake Livington Oct 21-22 this year. I will go to a car show but I ever enter. I just park in the parking lot. Or a meet at rtee007 his jloint could be aplace to have a cold one. ( 2 beers puts me to sleep)

Yea, I was checking that out. 146 hideout. Looks like a fun place that we will be checking out for sure.

Wolf Creek is a very nice meet on the shore of Lake Livingston. I showed the Demon there in 2013 & received 2nd place Competition trophy, & ladies choice trophy.

I'm going to head to Texas 146 Hideout on either July 28th or 29th. If anyone wants to meet somewhere let me know. I'm in the Huffman/Crosby area.

I'm flexible with any time on either one of those days.

Hope to have the Duster back together by then, but if not I will drive the Scamp or my truck.
I will be game IF I am not in Misouri that tim. I have to get there and bring back my Lancer, car trailer, and settle r/e stuff there. Send me a pm as to when you might make it ther I will make note on calendar. BILL

Sorry to report that we had to close the bar. No customers. Great idea, but a bad location.
Once again, sorry.

Sorry to say the 146 Hideout didnt make it under my ownership. It is still there and open occasionally but hours are sketchy at best.

Spotted a bright blue 2nd gen Barracuda this evening. It was northbound on the service road near Humble adjacent to I69. Anyone here?

If any of ya'll are up as far as Lufkin, Ray's drive in has a cruise night every first Saturday of the month and sometimes coincides with a TNT or other events at Pinevalley raceway. I think both have Facebook pages. There are a few A-bodies that show up at Rays but scarce at the track. Me with the Nova's and Mustangs anytime I go.....

We have been going to Ray's since the late 90's. I have not been in some time though. Would you happen to live out near Hemphill? I was out that was last weekend and spotted a Barracuda that looked just like yours behind a little shop.

No, I hunt the Indian Mounds sometimes but the last time I had my car that way was prolly June! We're just southeast of Lufkin. I haven't seen another gen two in a long time in east Texas. I went to Rays this month and there was a '65 and a '71 Barracuda too. Many other cars too. I think the cooler temps seem to help but the deer will take priority for me next month.
