Stop in for a cup of coffee

Dave, if you ever want to make a bluefish chowder, this recipe is really good. Tomato based. The bluefish breaks up into small flakes and gives the chowder a hearty consistency. Good over rice. If excess oil comes to the top, you can remove it with a spoon. Comes from a restaurant Charley's Crab where I worked in Sarasota decades ago.

Thanks! The wife loves bluefish and will very likely want to make that!

Finally figured out the vaccum leak ...... well, didn't solve it yet but getting closer

Its coming from the exhaust. The air pump ( which is disconnected) has fittings to exhaust. It sounds like it's coming from there very strong.

Like right behind the the point where the cab meets the bed. I got under it with it running and a helper pressing on the gas and I could hear it very strong from the exhaust

yep... and they had a higher horsepower rating than a 340... 295 for the 318 poly HP (dual quad) and 275 for the 340... the poly heads flow better than aftermarket LA heads even. Biggest draw back is performance parts availability and weight. thing weighs as much as a 440.

Send a set of poly heads to John Tret and see what he can get them to do.... :D :steering:

Well, I figured out who has been stealing all my minnows from my floating bait pail overnight.

I heard splashing late last night where the pail is in the water so I quick went out with my flashlight and lit the bugger up.

It was a damn otter! He was floating on his back with my bait pail on his belly and was reaching in and taking big handfuls of minnows and eating them like it was a bucket of Popcorn!

He wasn’t bothered by me in the least shining the light on him and knew he could escape faster than I could ever get to him. I grabbed the line for the pail and tried to take it, but he held on to it for another 30 seconds until he was done eating them all...then he let it go and swam off.

Looks like the minnows are staying in the insulated bucket with the air bubbler on the screened-in porch overnight now.

It sounds like the otter has the routine down pat... I bet you're not the only guy he's raided....

Good Morning. Just gathering parts and cleaning right now. Working on trying to get the original block back.

I promised to finish my son's car first, so we have been trying to get that together quicker than we had been lately. We built me a 1927 Ford rat rod a few years ago and now that he is 16, we are building him one too. 1931 Model A Tudor, homemade chassis 460/c6/9". Low buck, rusty, dirty, and loud - what every teenager needs.
