Stop in for a cup of coffee

Really, Guess the new guys are lazy. The bell shape is just a mopar style that was supposed to repel water. Easily changed to a normal style drum with the same dimensions. Man I have done dozens of them in the past easy and cheaper fix for sure. No wonder why I sold the hubs from the Cuda so freaking fast! And removed the bell shaped ones also!
Really?! If that's the case, then that'll be awesome.

Yes all us old car guys can do it. Just heat the drum flat up with a torch, you will prob hear it pop then just press the hub through. Still wont help with the dustcap part though......

When the hell is there a core charge on drums? Man that sucks.

Speaking of core charges....since when does a junkyard charge a core charge for radiators, alternators, starters, rear ends, etc.???

Wow really? Wonder if they actually give it back when you bring one in. Dam Tariffs!

I am sure they just want the metal back, but they just sold the metal...strange days.

Seen some of that at local yards starting a few years ago.
They just want the metal back.
Not sure if its a recycling thing to get the metal. They may even have requirement as salvage yard. or just another money grab

Lately the salvage yard owners here are very wealthy people. This one in town is very professional and highly organized. The family owns 10,000 acres north of town. Auto salvage must be pretty good business.

:soapbox: Woke up to dog barking at 2AM. Saw headlights as car pulled out of driveway :wtf: Get some clothes on and grab flashlight. See what looks like a bagged newspaper on porch. F'n idiots delivering magazines. :mob:

That's what I was thinking. I always just used the flat side of the lug nut with a washer and drove them home evenly with a impact gun. Never had any issues at all. I WAS WRONG MY WHOLE LIFE! Guess I need therapy now.

Then again I was reading something today about aligning the input shaft of your trans to he flywheel to within .003" Seriously?
