Stop in for a cup of coffee

Just ran the the junkyard. Got dad a speedometer cable for his Barracuda and an air cleaner assembly that I thought was dropped base enough to work for him but it hits the high fuel inlet of the Edelbrock carb. At least it is sunny, upper 50s and a great day to walk around looking for parts

Question. I see some of you are grabbing tons of distributors. Why? Which ones? If you dont mind me asking. I would like a couple spares.

Had a customer call the other day. Coolant is only good to -2.
My exact words-bullshit, i just replaced that rad and mixed fresh coolant.
Says it doesent look strong enough. “Thats because the new fangled coolant isnt green”
Did you use a tester?
No,i tasted it.
Should have told him i use urine to mix with the coolant.
Am i gonna be that dumb when i get older?

Still in flux....
Hopefully it'll all work itself out. Stay strong

Hoppy, @halifaxhops , buys cores and rebuilds and custom tunes them. All sorts. He did a 318 poly points one for me

So, I took the SRT out for a ride after work and at the first stop sign I hear water sloshing around...and a lot of it.

Crap. I figured it was probably the sunroof drain holes clogged so I went up and down some steep grades to see if would drain from any of the drains in the four corners. No luck.

Unhappy and not looking forward to the PIA of unclogging the drain tubes, I parked on the slope in the drive way and got my flashlight from the garage to inspect the inside of the sunroof.

Turns out it was bone dry in there and water poured down the drains runs out freely. WTF?

The inside of the car is bone dry and all carpets too. The AC drain is functioning normally too.

Mystified, I went on the computer and searched for anything similar. Couldn’t find anything.

So I went back to the car to reinspect everything and noticed that when I had the front passenger door open for a while, there was a slow drip from the bottom of it. I swung the door back and forth quickly a few times and sure enough, water sloshing.

Turns out the drain holes for the door were clogged. A short wire tool to clean the crud out of them and about a half gallon of water came pouring out.

Beer time!

At least it wasn't anything major!

Hey Dave,

So the Army docs want to do a test on my seizure stuff by putting me in a bod pod to sleep for 3 hours to measure hydration changes. My civilian specialist says that's not a test normally done and wouldn't have anything to prove for siezure cause. Ever heard of such a thing?

Your civilian Doc is correct. The army docs are just looking to see if they can find a way to claim it’s just dehydration causing the seizures. I would be cautious about letting them draw any conclusions from it.

That's what I figured. Which is wierd since they cleared me off the medical review board but now want this test

They are just doing CYA hoping for cover in case anything ever happens to you on duty. If this test shows levels of dehydration, they will recommend a hydration protocol for you while on duty.

I wish doctors spoke English when they tell you what is wrong with you.

Plantar Fasciitis

I found out more about it on Google than the doctor told me.
