Stop in for a cup of coffee

Thanks buddy!

Be easier but like Matt said you will want a separate panel for the accessories. I have two one in the front for fan and some small draws and one in the rear for the fuel pump and the vac pump. did a 90 amp alt and the biggest amp battery I could find in group 27 and it just does it, during the daytime! and you have to figure out the total load so you can match the total draw to the alt/battery.
I figured my 160 amp spare one with internal voltage regulator from a Cummins pickup would work? Just have to swap the pulley

Very very expensive, something like $2500 per month for sat internet and slower than dial up.

I agree with a sat phone.
My son rented a SAT phone last month when he went hiking and camping in Colorado and Utah. Good for emergencies and basic communication.

Going to take a few ponies to run that alternator.
Double the amperage, not a bad way to go...

@Mattax so another wiring question. If one wanted to upgrade their wiring to handle for current draw for accessories like aftermarket lights, radios, ac etc, can that be done? What about adding bigger alternators? Would that not increase the amps thru the entire system?
First part Ray and Frank pretty much covered.
The last "Would that not increase the amps thru the entire system?" depends on the equipment added, not the alternator.
You just want an alternator that can comfortably meet the maximum total needs. If it can do it at idle speed, thats the best.

The flip side is if the equipmet is going to be running on battery (say big stereo for tailgate parties). Then IMO some sort of charging regulation is needed or the battery will get hurt even if the wires survive. That's what that guy with the camper-van has to figure out (in the amp to voltmeter thread). Deep cycles will probably handle it better, but this is the sort of scenario that needs to be figured out with someone who knows that stuff.

Dual batteries with an isolator.
Sizing isolator is critical, must match or exceed alternator output.
I did many in trucks for running accessories with the key off.
Have seen them smoke from abuse and undersizing them.

Agree. It’s also a good idea to make the secondary battery a deep cycle for running stuff when the alternator is off. They can handle the deep drain and recharge repeatedly. It’s what they are designed for.

Time to eat guys

And here I was enjoying homemade and home raised brats and polish sausages

Yeah, neighbor raises his own hogs. We help him butcher from time to time and he's got a special seasoning that's a family secret . These brats are the best tasting I've ever had. Beats anything store bought for sure. I get a couple dozen for helping butcher the hogs. Kind of a neighbor helping neighbor thing. We'll do 20-30 hogs at a time. Hogs are easy.

Just watched Mopar reveal the 1000 HP Supercharged 426 Hemi crate engine at SEMA. Available as plug-n-play in early 2019.

Hmmm....do I put one in the GTS? LOL!

It baaack!!
