I have played hockey whole life, once bitten you just can't stop, it is in your blood. Sitting in the locker room, smelling the funk, taping up, sipping a pre game beer, talking smack with the boys, it just don't get any better than that. You will be fine, just don't even think about the transition from forward to backward, just toss your hips your body will remember what to do. But ya might wear a helmet just in case!

You must be the official welcoming committee. Wow what is there 4 or 5 new members today?

Mayday: how can I save a set of very nice cast iron heads from flash rust after it’s happened?!? Unknown to me, my brother moved all my 440 stuff from the corner of my HVAC garage out to the big tractor shed and while the 440 block, crank etc was all fully coated in oil and wrapped, the heads were left exposed when he ripped the plastic. It’s just the top of the rocker shaft mounts and the tops of the valve and the face of the exhaust side

Just remember, "it's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the end ! "

At least! Hah! Just trying to give a little back. This forum has been a wealth of inspiration and knowledge for me. I was very spooked at first as I had zero experience in social media. Trying to make them feel all warm and fuzzy bout joining!

Speaking about warm and fuzzy. Time for a sip. It's time isn't it? Sure it is! LOL

Played with some new images today. First one...

Way ahead of ya brother! Me and the hound were doing Arnold palmers today, ended up in the chair out in the shop. Don't let anybody tell you a 100 pound dog don't fit in your lap! She keeps me warm!
I dunno, I never had trouble fitting a 100 lb woman in my lap...

Me too,
subtle hint Dd think Corsair! I am a Marine ya know! Just can't help it!
I have some Corsair images somewhere in my files. The biggest problem with that plane is that the dark color provides little contrast to work with. I always want to do images of it because it’s one of my favorite planes, but I’m never happy with the results. Maybe I will get one to work someday.

Love the Corsairs! This is from "Black Sheep Squadron". Loved that show!View attachment 1715284369
I did at the time. I wonder if I still would other than the airplane scenes.
I read a bio of Boyington a few years ago, Black Sheep One I think was title. While Boyington himself liked the show, the character and the squadrons portrayed weren't all that close to reality.
