Good Morning All! First cup for me. I managed to sleep in until 4:30 then son called from Iceland, just landed for his study abroad.

Rain yesterday here, glad we finally got our awning replaced. Hated paying a deductible but saved quite a bit on replacement cost. Already put tie downs on this one but will make sure I retract it (manual) if the wind picks up. Sunny and warmer today, might get to 65 dunno.

Trying to get motivated, rain is a coming and got a list of stuff to do on the Duster. Header gasket, filler neck grommet, plug wire repairs. And still have to get to the bottom of the front end shake. Not feeling any gumption after 3 cups, trying another!
have a couple more cups and you will shake enough that you won't notice it in the car.

Next time stay at Navy lodging each room gets a 5 gallon coffee maker!
Ya we’re in Nebraska. Think the nearest Navy Inn might be Great Lakes Training Center?? All I say is hurry up Cheryl!!

Throwing a couple of thoughts out to get y’alls opinion,
1: found a melted plug wire, could that have been the smell I was getting? Can’t say I’ve ever smelled a plug wire burn?
2: excessive play in steering box cause the shake I’m experiencing?
Just throwing it out there.

Good morning!

Yes and yes. Check your steering coupler first.

Good morning. Supposed to rain all weekend here. Need to work on the camper, 1972 Winnebago tandem axle travel trailer. Black and gray water drains needed new gate valves and a bit of support in the floor above it.

Howdja melt a plug wire? That could be the shake there.

Steering play - maybe. Depends on th e shake.
if it was a plain vanilla play then it should of been smooth. ;)

Bad news, my hard drive can't be saved. Good news so far, I only have 4 months of photos unaccounted for. I am hopeful they got saved on my wife's laptop.

I replaced drivers side header gasket the night before all this went dow, must have screwed the pooch when putting the wire back on and just neglected to pay proper attention to the position. Doubt that was the shake. 1) my luck doesn’t run like that, and 2) it wasn’t a miss. She was running good. This was definitely front end. Thinking even like Frank mentioned possibly brake induced. Was also noticing like a brake drag in gear at an idle. Going to look at brake system also just for piece of mind. Oh and not a fan of plain vanilla shakes. More of a full blown chocolate malt guy!

Just got back slim pickings this year. Got a few metal snippers and a inch pound beam style torque wrench. $3 for it all!

Inch pound beam. Perfect for rolling torque on pinion bearings and lawn mower cylinder heads. LOL
