Stop in for a cup of coffee

Thanks. It took about a week to sprout. Need to keep it watered and once it becomes mature, back seed the bare spots. Then slow relevelling of the slopes, fill in the low spots and make it smooth.

I figure by this time next year it should look about right.
I didn't realise Pennsylvania was so rocky until I came to Carlisle last year. The campground had veins of rock formations going through it. We have some rocky areas here in Iowa but closer to the Mississippi than I am and the bluffs are limestone. It's a glacier thing I am sure.

Lots of granite here. This neighborhood is named “Indian Rock” for a reason. They had to blast huge amounts of granite out to even build here. We sit 230’ high over the Delaware river valley on a miles long granite ridge. The Delaware river itself is only about 8 miles away and where it passes here, it is close to 2.5 miles wide.

This area is ‘full of schist’ :D

And, just for anyone who doesn’t know about the Delaware river...

The Delaware river drains an area of 14,119 square miles (36,570 km2) in five states, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. Rising in two branches in New York state's Catskill Mountains, the river flows 419 miles (674 km) into Delaware bay where its waters enter the Atlantic Ocean near Cape May in New Jersey and Cape Henlopen in Delaware. Not including Delaware Bay, the river's length including its two branches is 388 miles.

The Commodore Barry bridge that spans the river near Marcus Hook Pa to New Jersey (near me) is 13,912' abutment to abutment making it the longest cantilever bridge in the US and the fourth longest in the World.

Former spot where the dart I dragged out was.... then I tried getting in there with the mower and true to summer got stung twice.

From my fun with yellow jackets experiences, they love meat. Some raw meat on the kinda spoiled side, will draw them away from your targeted area. Bees, soft drink cans, Diet does not work.

Ok, I made my list and checked it twice. Everything I need is loaded in the car to go up and install PosiRon’s vinyl top on his Monte tomorrow. Hoppy will be there too.

Should be a fun time. It’s been a few years since I installed one, but after having done several thousands of them back when I had my upholstery shop, it’s like riding a bike.

Funny thing is that over the years since then. I still have dreams about installing them.

Sounds like a good time.

And if I recall my experience correctly, It's free to cross the bridge into Jersey, but you have to pay to get out!

All the bridges into New Jersey are free to get in but you have to pay to get out.

For good reason too, nobody would ever pay to get INTO New Jersey, but they are more than willing to pay to get out!

Nightmares ARE dreams... lol
LOL!

Actually, I always enjoyed installing them. It was a unique skill and kinda fun to do. The new look of an aged car with a fresh vinyl top was somehow rewarding.

It is too bad that the age of them was ending and my carpal tunnel syndrome was getting worse and I had to quit the business.

Of course, I wouldn’t be where I am today If I hadn’t. Just more of the threads in the tapestry of life I suppose...

Old friend of mine, native of Jersey, USAF Captain when I met him, retired as a bird Colonel. Getting to know each other, I knew he was well educated, "Where did you go to school?". "Got my degree at Rutgers." he says. "What the hell kinda name is Rutgers for a university?" I ask. "What do you want them to call it? New Jersey State? Sounds like a frickin' prison." he answers. "Let's have another Molson Golden to Rutgers".

Morning. Looks like another nice day.
More work on the trailer, more bending and welding.
May cut with the plasma track and leave a few short tabs. Then bend and weld back up.

Hey Ray!
Sitting here surfin,bored silly.
2 hours until buddy picks me up for brekkie.
May go and pick away at trailer.
Thing is so wide,8’7” to outside of fenders. I need marker lights on front of fender. Fender is on dump part,so lots of wire to fish around.

Sounds like a PIA. Can you use one of the cords like from a old phone that coils up? Have some of that on the wheel of the pop for the buttons.
