Turning back the clock

That right there would slap blow a Chevy guy's mind all to heck. Most of them have never seen anything like that and certainly have never had to do a work around like steering linkage through an oil pan. They would stand there lookin at it. Probably say somethin like "screw all that work, glad I drive a Chevy" LOL
you've not seen these before then? Moroso Oil Pan, Chevrolet: 396-454, 1955-57 Chevrolet, 1962-67 Chevy II/Nova, 7 qt., 9 in. deep sump - BB CHEVY OIL PANS - White’s Pit Stop and NOVA Milodon Street and Strip Oil Pans 31060
neil.

I think he is comparing store bought (Chebby) to hand crafted (Mopar)

No, the car will not be at Carlisle this year. But at the Mopar Nats under the tent HDK has every year.

Will you have the car at Carlisle this year?

I would have loved.....with Butch. I contacted them and offered the car and Butch back around March. Just wasn't in their plans for this year, perhaps next year.

I could just park it in the show field, but I (and Butch) thinks it deserves better.

Just askin here.......but.........but.........but......SURELY yall didn't build and rebuild this just to "let it sit" in car shows as a museum piece? It IS gonna get raced.........RIGHT?

I think they plan their main attractions pretty far out. Probably right after this years show is the time to be talking for next year. Hope you can get it here. Would love to see it and meet you guys.

No plans to race it at this time......if we wanted to race it we would probably build a clone.
The one and only original is currently too valuable to race.....Oh, and don't call me Shirley!

lol yeah I know it's one of one.....but ....but.........it IS what it IS.

RACECAR. lol But I get it man. I wouldn't want anything to happen to it either. But........

the 40 year old Firestone Drag 500 slicks on the rear would likely fly apart first time they had power put to them.

Amazingly, within the last hour, UPS delivered a brand new pair of Goodyear D1984 32 x 14-15's at my house.....imagine that!!!

lol yeah that is an issue.......but now you have new ones. lol

would be a crowd pleaser, especially if Butch drives it. ..... I better get the pump to pan external oil line made and get it running.

HDK builds / projects put my personal stuff on the back burner......I'm soooooo close.

Not a bad idea, now as far as back burner....you turn the burner up and finish it.

Too bad! A lot of people come through the gates, would have gotten a lot of exposure. You'd think there could have been a place in one of the buildings. Oh well, maybe next year.

I'm sure they could have made space, but to get Butch to come takes covering his expenses and appearance $$$....I was likely too late to ask and Butch was just not in their budget for this year. I understand their side......and there is always next year.

hopefully gonna be a dandy, I'm working on a lifesize backdrop of the CarCraft / Direct Connection Catalog covers.....and how about this?.... you could have YOUR picture taken with that cover shot(s) backdrop featuring with the actual 1975 Flash HemiDuster, the real California Flash (Butch) and YOU are the guy behind the counter.

Hows that for a free rev? !!!!....WHOMMMPAAAA!!!!!
