Tame my 4-speed Stroker....

Re prepped the track and it calmed down his ride a lot!
J par this should give you something to shoot for :D

PRH That's some cool videos. You would think it would just bog and die at that low of a rpm. Impressive!!!

Exactly my point.

In another thread you are saying you wanted streetable and able to run 11’s.
These example are not only very mild mannered, but run well into the 11’s without worrying about having the killer 60’ times.

The FAST combos even look bone stock under the hood.

Just think how good they could run with headers, aftermarket intake and carb, good tires, etc....... you know...... the stuff you have.
Sure will be interesting to see if this clutch Tamer would get me there? The idea of less harsh on parts, consistent clutch engagement, and ease of operation has me sold already. If I gained some ET I'll be ecstatic...

I had to look under there and see what the fuss was all about??
I just smiled....

When you figure out how to install it ( or more precisely where) post details pics so I can install the one I have had for over a year !
A-bodies have a clutch/column arrangement that wont allow it to be installed. I am even willing to drill my dash but cant find a way to make it work !

Do you have any pictures of yours or could you take any of the actual bracket the length and all that stuff? I can start mapping it out in my brain and on the car. It just seems to me that with this big open cavity that I look down I could tether a bracket between the column Bolt and the emergency brake Bolt and then Mount the actual knob bracket to that....

At least in the blue challenger it is a face plated transmission. I always knew them as crash boxes and not sure if there is any difference between face plated/crash box. Funny that you should mention stalling. I was behind the blue challenger at Norwalk and it was SO STICKY he killed the car right on the line. Next run he beat me running 11.66 to my 12.0 at 1500’ DA. It was only close because I cut a .055 light to his .220! Not the first time he’s smacked me around like a redheaded step child! :)
I'm assuming these guys are running crash boxes and stuff like that?

will take some pics and get dimensions .
I can also mock it up and take pics...

The problem is that the clutch pedal is directly inline with the column. Maybe an offset bracket would do it ?

I hope you figure it out for my sake !

I assume this is what we have to work with? My very first thought without the product in my hand is to drill a larger then the two mounting holes hole in the center and attach it to the side of the steering column in a 45 degree angle? Possibly even taking that bolt out I'm putting a short piece of all thread and screwing a nut on to hold steering column and then being able to bolt that on as well over top of that..
I really need to get the product in my hand. Should have got my wife's check today, it didn't have to go that far...

The 2 brackets on top are 1 inline and 1 offset mounts for the clutch pedal.

Your dash bracket is different.

I dont see how the bracket you posted could work since it wont pivot.

I think there's a few different versions of mounting possibilities. But I never thought that it came with an offset pedal Mount as well which could factor in well.

Imagine that slit in the bend of that bracket will allow it to Pivot a little one time...

I may have to go so far as to form a bracket. That's where I bolt the Tamer to a piece of metal and bolt a couple pieces of metal to good attachment spots in the area I want it. Then tack weld the Tamer bracket to the attachment points and basically form a bracket...
I'll have to re-read that it couldn't have made sense...
I was right LOL It makes sense to me now..

Maybe if I tackle this again but this time with a few beers under my belt my creative juices will be flowing better .

This is a clutch tamer on my 66 A body. Put it in with a Ram powergrip hd clutch to finish out the season last fall, after my soft-loc finley wore out after 7 years. Soft-loc is going back in and this is going in my 2012 Challenger R/T 6 spd.

I didnt realize the early A pedals were so different from the rest ...

I ordered the offset separately.

j par I still had the 2 step from the soft-loc hooked up with the clutch tamer. It's at the top of the pedal set up with a long arm micro switch so the tab for the overcenter spring engages the arm on the micro switch, bent the arm so the 2 step comes off just before the clutch hits. Set up with 2 relays and activates off the line lock button.

I measured how far over from the pedal I needed it so I had a straight shot to the dash bracket between the column and hand brake bracket, and gave that measurement to Grant and he sent me the clutch pedal bracket with the right offset to work.

Totally awesome stuff! I knew you didn't have to cut your dash apart and all that craziness.
Now that you've cleared up the internet hearsay armchair Boogeyman stories about impossible installation....
I guess my biggest question at this point is what was your experience with the product?
