The first shot you posted in the random thread was very nice (IMO).
At 5:53 I was probably somewhere around the airport.
Just calculated gas milage between Gray's Ferry and Chad's Ford. 16.91 mpg. Yea right. I thought fueling was cutting offf a bit early but squeezed only a little more in. Bet there was another gallon to fill it to the same level as the morning.
Just as a comparison, going to Carlisle and back was 14.43 mpg (including the wait to get in).

What rear gears are you running? Mine is 3.91.
I only noticed two small things:
Right side brake light seemed a little dimmer than the left. Turn signals seemed the same. Could have been the angle of the sun light.
And when you pulled around the slow poke there was a little puff of grayish smoke. Nothing bad. I didn't catch a scent. So can't see if it might have been oil or bit excess fuel.
Well three things - your car was much cleaner and shinier than mine. Oh never mind, that's not unusual. LOL

That's interesting. Your front wheels must have more offset to the outside than mine. I assume the fender openings are similar.Here is the entire list of things on the GTS that I discovered today that need correcting...
1. Oil pressure gauge under dash needs a second mounting screw so it it doesn’t begin to rattle/vibrate after long drives.
2. Front end needs to be dialed up another 1/2” so the tires don’t scuff the wheel openings on heavy compression (only happened twice for a fraction of a second at speed at the bottom of a deep hill while making a slight right turn).
3. Dash ash tray screws need to be tightened so it doesn’t rattle over rough roads.
4. Passenger side mirror need to be adjusted properly for best view.
That’s it! Woohoo!
My car's speedometer is making noise. Don't think its the cable. Best if ts dealt with sooner than latter. Not looking forward to that.
Next time we should take rides in each others cars. There were only a few I felt the road in wheel a bit. But that such a subjective thing. You should take a ride in it, or drive it over a section of rough road so you can make your own comparison.
That looks like it might fit a 3/8 rachet or extension with no socket, just the square that the socket fits over. At least that is what I would have tried.

Sounds like a good idea. Always good to get someone else in the seat to say what they feel and compare to what you feel.

Yep, and I’m running 15” wheels with 215/65 on the front and 245/60 on the back.
The black part you see is machined or pressed into the fastener head . Like a Torx headed bolt.
No wonder why he can burn tires for a city block. LOL

Finally in vegas. Winnipeg airport, someone checked a bag and didnt board the plane.

I have something I wonder about, it's about light bulbs. Again, but this time it is different. I have discovered something,a I assume this is common knowledge to all Americans, but not to a Norwegian.
The 7 inch round headlamp for example, it seems to have several numbers. Like 60** whatever. What is the difference here ? Did they change the bulb number just for the sake of it, or ?
I wish someone could shed some light over this.

I'm not sure on that Bill.
Guess I never really thought about it...Original lamp spec (I think for all of our A-bodies) is the 6014. But my halogen Night Hawks are H6024. I think I saw a reference to 6017 somewhere also being a 7". Not sure what other 60.. series are available

FYI - Made some Antigua for @Mattax today. I think he liked it, but still wants to try it in a lighter roast...

Funny you should be talking about an engine swap. I am watching Uncle Tony's Garage video 5.0 Fox Body Revolution. Those are the guys that inspired me and my first engine swap was a 84 4 cylinder hatchback that I swapped to a 302.
