I will be just a little cleanup left. Funny, usually I'm detailing late the night before I leave. Decided this time I'd be done and relax.
We leave next Thursday, and spend the night a couple hours outside Chicago.
We drive in Friday morning, and have a morning 10-12 load-in time.
Must be a big place because you drive your truck and trailer inside to unload. A very coordinated three stage check-in.
I guess when your moving 500 cars it has to be. Show is Saturday and Sunday.
We'll load up Sunday evening and drive back to where we spent Thursday night and stay again.
We wanted to get out of the city and miss the Monday morning commute traffic.
Everyone we've talked to who's been to this show has told us we'll have a great time!!

I mentioned it to him a couple months ago. I'll check with him again.
My buddy John who came out here a few weeks ago and helped me do quite a few things with the car is coming in with a couple of his friends.
We've spent time with them at Carlisle the last couple years so it will be a good time.
Mike mentioned he might make it. Other than that those are the only people we know that will be there.
Well Rob Wolf, owner MOPAR Collector's Guide, will be there. He always stops and talks with us. Nice guy.

Funny you mention that. Yesterday afternoon a friend texts from his job south of here "BIG SMOKE BIG SMOKE". I get in the truck and head for a higher vantage point. Huge column of smoke south of here. I watched the 3 local news broadcasts, checked CalFire, and the SB County Fire website and none of them said 1 bloody word about it
. When LA and NorCal were on fire that was all they wanted to talk about.
Dang, snow flurries starting any time and through the day. Guess I will have to work through the flurries.

In a roundabout fashion I found that it was a control burn on a ranch 20sum miles south of here that got a little "out of control". They got a good handle on it about dark.
