Managed to get steering wheel off, stuck it in press and gave it a push. Now filling cracks with epoxy. Its really going to be a lot of work, but worth it i think.
 
The wife hit a deer on the way home from work the other night, called and said she's ok and the cars ok. I took it in last Monday for a quote, glad we have a $50 deductible because the headlight alone is $1600 if you can believe that. Total estimate was started at $6700, could climb a little.

Well the deer did roll down the car, there is damage at the drivers passenger door, they say they have to remove the back bumper to blend paint. Also inside the front valance the bumper is broke/cracked and the hood has a couple hours due to small dent. Besides stupid expensive, parts are very rare, we are getting a "used" headlight for $1100, fender is extremely back ordered, repair time estimate is 13 days.

According to the wife, this deer was in the oncoming lane and she would have missed it all together if it just ran in the direction it was standing. It didn't do that, it swung it's hear around behind it's rear which stuck it into her lane, that was all she hit was it's head. Can't predict what those stupid deer will do. The car has Brembo brakes all around so she was able to get her speed down from 55 quite a bit.

Should be open season. Not like they are endangered or anything. They eat crops and kill cars.

I hit one on the way home from Dave's, from PA a few weeks ago. Missed with the truck, hit him, it with the car trailer. Left a mess....
Could have messed up my day for sure!
 
Overwatch for the deer war didn’t end well. Stand retaining strap broke and we went a tumbling

Meh deer populations are declining rapidly here. So much so they cut out bag limit from 8 to 2 per year now
