Flexplate is not fits the torque converter

Hi, asking for your help again. Looks like I've ordered wrong flexplate (TCI Forged Flexplates 145200) to my torque converter TCI Saturday Night Special Torque Converters 141500

Can you please help me to select the right one? Thanks a lot in advance, don't want to make the same mistakeView attachment 1715428650
You really need to contact the converter manufacturer for the correct part. You may have the wrong converter as well. Ordering from Summit and asking us for the correct parts isn't the best thing to do.

Ok, looks like I've exceeded the number of questions within the tolerance level :) I've asked TCI (manufacturer of the part) directly and I've god the wrong answer. that's why I'm asking here, hoping to get an answer from the experienced (and not theoretical) audience. Sorry for the number of questions, I'll try to find the way out somewhere else.

No, their converter is fine. It fits a 727 Chrysler transmission. He just needs the correct flex plate with the balance weights for the 360/5.9L! This is not rocket science. Get the ATP Z-332 and bolt it together.

Thanks for that information. I was hoping the op wouldn't put the weight kit on the converter and the weighted flex plate too.

Geez, we are just trying to find the correct combination of parts for you. Sounds like 69_340_GTS has nailed it.

If a flex plate with the balance weight already installed is available, there is no logical reason to weld weights onto the torque converter instead. Now you have made a special torque converter that only goes with that engine. I don't think TCI sells Mopar converters with weights on them, or even sells a weight kit to be welded on them.

Once you receive the ATP Z-332, a small modification needs to be performed. The 4 bolt holes on your torque converter are not equidistant to each other but the z-332 plate should have evenly spaced holes, elongating the one hole on the flex plate should take care of this.

Lets fine tune the year of your 360 or Magnum 5.9.
What year exactly is this engine your using? Previously you've called it a "Magnum" and a "360", They are not the same balance-wise, For example, the required amount of off-set on the balancer end is 534.3 grams for the 360 and 314.4 grams for the 5.9 Magnum. The rear end of the engine has the same thing going on, on average there's only about 60% of the weight off-set that the 360 has compared to the Magnum. TCI's plate # 102360 is for a 360 NOT a Magnum. Use B+M for an example also, #10236 is for a 360 up to 1992 and #10242 is for a 5.9l Magnum 1993 and newer BUT is obsolete! They are specific to the two different weight requirements of a 360 compared to a Magnum.
TCI plate 102360 is not going to balance correctly if you have a Magnum, and yes they've got the wrong picture in their add.

I have an engine 5.9L from Jeep Grand Cherokee 1998. In summit it's shown as:

Engine / JEEP
5.9L/360
Mopar small block Magnum

Looks like I'm back to basics :) is it Magnum or not? I don't want to buy the third wrong flexplate :)

LA, MAgnum, Gen 3 Hemi in that order. The Magnums were built from about 1992-2003 when the new Hemi started production.

Hi! Finally my engine is having vibration, any ideas how to find the 10242 flexplate? Or how to solve this problem... any analogs?

Are you going top tell us which flexplate you finally decided to go with? was it the ATP Z-332?
Sorry for missing info, my flexplate installed is for internal balance, so it should run like this, with the huge vibration, I've found in Russia 10236 (just now, not installed) but looks like it will not solve the vibration problem completely. Thanks to Max1196 I now what I need for my MAGNUM (yes, now I know that 360 is not Magnum) but can't find it...

No, it was internally balanced, I was a bit scared of making extra space in the holes like in the picture
