Nitrous plumbing A1A...??..

Not sure what you mean....I probably have some of the thickest skin on this site. My **** is slow as hell and I’ll be the first to admit it.
Not you, J par for not wanting our post on his "serious" thread :D I got home last night and seen he was look'n for replies.... so I showed him how to hook up a bottle (video) LOL :D

Well I feel I have a lot of things to try right now before I get to the nitrous but the big swap meet is going to be in a little over 60 days so I'd like to have my knowledge together so I can start finding the parts...
I guess if I could pick up a nitrous bottle at a reasonable price that would start me off pretty happy.. honestly I really like the looks of the Speedmaster cheater plate? It seems to inject a nitrous from around the edges? Their reviews are total crap and of course I'd be a needle in a haystack for somebody who actually used one. Again I like the design in the fact that it doesn't have the bar going through the center for when you're not using it... And of course the price! LOL...
To $53 cheater plates about $200 for solenoids and a Purge kit and a little under 200 for a bottle.... And of course I have to buy Jets and throttle triggers and wiring and all that stuff and that's going to add up as well. Then you look at the entire kit for just about $800 and you end up not saving a whole lot if any at all...and even at that I would want some smaller jets for starting out as well I matter what the guy on the techline said...

Be cautious on bottles, when they get too old they have to be re certified, that is not cheap. I looked at a bunch of swap meet bottles over the years, they needed re-certified.

The opinions will vary. If you are running 2 carbs fog it. Cleaner, softer hit, more options.

As Said Steve Johnson is the man. It's like crack and every hit puts you one step closer to a rebuild lol....

JW
I don't care who you are that's funny!..

Another one of those "I can be smarty pants on anyone else's thread but don't do it to my thread" remarks. I meant it and you showed it, bottles are for babies, now keep crying :poke:
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
I gave you an option for a place for laughs and jokes and for some reason you don't think I'm capable of carrying a serious conversation... I don't know about it and I'm trying to learn...

See I'm learning there I didn't know that.. I was kind of cleary about some of the used parts.. like I didn't want to get a tank that was old and have full of crusty old nitrous LOL....

I posted the goofy gif because that’s really all I can offer on the topic right now. I’ve never used nitrous. Trust me, I would love nothing more than to spray my little 318 into outer space but my current budget will not allow it. So for now I must live vicariously through you, JPar. I want nothing more than for you to spray that motor into the stratosphere because that’s what I would do. Godspeed my friend.
I think my point is to try not to get my motor to go into the stratosphere! LOL...

Well I found this on Speedmaster and damn near ordered two of them today through Summit... It looks like I can put whatever Jets I want to in them? I would have an extra mounting bracket obviously.. The Summit site says they won't ship them till February 17th and the Speedmaster site says in stock ships within 24 hours? The guy on the summit site said he couldn't answer why..
With the hoses and the brackets I could order solenoids and a Purge kit and be damn near ready for a tank and a line and I fuel system as well?? I know I need the full throttle trigger which I also want to put in line with a trigger on my shifter or something as I want to control it myself...

I get my options from you???? :realcrazy::realcrazy::realcrazy: You bought this site from Joey???? :realcrazy: How about all those that were trying to learn in PBR's thread on porting and you went on and on and sword duals and everything else... LOL (spit wad again.... dish it out but can't take it)

P.S. - (page from your book) I'd have only posted once in this thread as I have zero interest in hooking up NOS, but you paged me so.... here I am again. :)

Why dont you want ti drill and tap your manifold to inject right at the valve?
Its a cleaner look and all the NO2 manifolds i see are done that way.
Thursday i can snap a pic of one off a ford if ya like? It looks pretty cool.

Yeah go look back there and see if you see anyting lol the Gestapo erased everything I said... and in the end he ported a head didn't get much out of it and threw it on a Shelf... no I'm asking you please if you want to joke around I have that other thread pretty much on the same subject... If not I'll do like he did and just ignore everything you say...

I don't know that's quite a commitment to nitrous drilling and tapping my intake manifold.. again this is more for a watch this moment and an occasional blast at the track.. Not really looking to have a dedicated nitrous car... But I'd sure like the pictures that's cool!...

just don't quote me in this thread so I won't get the alert. I have zero interest in what you are doing here, so very unlikely I'll ever click on it again. Thought it was funny last night, and frankly, thought you would get a chuckle too. You've ignored me before so big whooopeeee cush'n. LOL

Again I have the other thread for chuckles and love them but I was really trying to get some good information out of the people who have knowledge about it...

The guys at Disruptive Rides are running an 800 shot on the orange marrow... He told me a story a while ago where someone wanted to use their NO2 jets and my buddy handed him the jet box, he said the guys jaw hit the floor and his eyes bugged out when he saw the size of the jets in their box.

:rofl::steering:

If I was ever to do NOS it have to be direct port, carry on.

I do have forged pistons but my ring gaps are not going to be good for anything over a hundred and fifty I believe.. again just setting it up for fun not anything serious...

150 shot and under you are fine tapping into the fuel line to your carb (assuming you already have a good electric pump and sufficient supply). Over 150 I would get a dedicated line/pump/and regulator. The nitrous side is self explanatory.

For what its worth, this is what I did years ago with my cheater system. I was tapped into my main fuel line, running a 150 shot. I had one side of my regulator feeding the carb and the other side feeding the N2O system...tried a 180 shot and it was fine as well, but I was at 5800' (i.e. I had more fuel to spare than sea level folks).

You might want to check out ebay for used nitrous parts. Always been a DIY kind of guy, got a good sized bin full of different plates/solenoids/plumbing/etc that I've picked up over the years to experiment with.

I was going to recommend this. Steve Johnson has a whole nitrous section on Yellowbullet if you drop down on the homepage.

Nitrous - Induction Solutions

There's also a very good thread on Moparts thats somewhat old now, it mixes in N20 and turbo/blower threads. The sadly missed Nitrous guru Monte Smith answers questions, have a read?. Its 18 pages long and you'll have to sift through to find the N20 threads though.
Moparts - Monte Smith Official Power Adder Thread

Same here. Did not add 250 horsepower to my combo, just ran their "250 horsepower" jets. Mine was pretty mild and I never leaned on it hard. Pulled extra timing, ran 110 octane fuel with those jets, and never hurt any parts at all.
Mine was a heavy car and a heavy driver. Probably 4100 pounds or so race weight. Ran 13.60s on motor and best of 11.85 on nitrous.

So I was thinking if I ordered those two plates (post number 32)they would have the mounting bracket for the two solenoids and the purge solenoid? And if I was to get the solenoids and just block them off where their feed lines come in I would be able to run my carburetors normally until I got the tank and line and the fuel system setup? But pretty much be ready...

You just answered a question I had, ring gap.

The only reason I would run spray bars under my carbs would be to cool down the rotors in my 6-71. Even then i would probably just drill and tap the top plate.

Disclaimer, i dont use NO2 but i know a few guys that do.

Its realy not much of a commitment, the jets wont affect the port flow much when not in use and you could always just replace the NO2 injectors for plugs if you want to.

I would do the port injection just for how fricking cool it looks, even if i never filled the bottle, it would be an attention getter for sure.

I sure do love the look of nicely bent hard lines tho....

Yes, the plates and spray bars wont affect anything as long as it is capped off and not a vacuum leak.

Yeah I might use The Purge kit more than anything else LOL...

If thats what you want just buy an ARB solenoid and hook it to a tank of compressed air. When i would blow the ARBs off in my truck most folks thought it was NO2. Some times i would do it at a stop light to mess with the Honda guys....

No expert but ran 2 150 plates stacked in 88. Lower plate was auto WOT throttle activated with 80/90 jets and upper plate on the floor gear shift switch “converted line lock type ” with 150 jets for my liking as it hooked. 1/2 line from tank with rear Holley blue + HV mechanical pump and DP 750. Solenoids were fed from the third port on the regulator post cool can.Had a cowl autometer mechanical gauge to watch pressure, fed from the Russell dual line carb feed. Never hurt the motor and sure was fun! Motor is still running with no rebuild and in the car today. My fuel jets were Set pretty rich. Safe that way.

Always wanted to do injection to the manifold but. Time ran out for me and those days are over.

Need to sell the plates, solenoids, tanks and such.
