Stop in for a cup of coffee

Evening all. Got cleaning done and porch joists installed. Still havnt received my order from Summit.

Ordered 2 separate orders online from Home Depot. Curbside pickup. Got one today, the other tomorrow. Trying to stay as far away from these people running around like nothing is happening.

2 day show at the circle track is still on for Memorial Day weekend, for this 5 minutes and the more I think about it, the more I think I'll pass.

I couldn't agree more. Had to go in myself even though I had a curb side p/u for my toolbox. Funny thing was they made the exit one way but NO ONE that worked there was wearing masks, and when I asked an employee for help finding something he marched right up to me, I was like whoaaah!

I guess we will soon see Nascar running races with empty stands. I think I'm okay with that considering, but I do like the fans and all the pre race stuff, always see respectful people who appreciate the flag, fly overs, National Anthem etc.

The TV sponsors won't be hurt by the empty bleachers, their sponsor $$$ for the time being are an absolute waste just sitting in garages on quiet race cars. The communities that host the events won't see much income from the lack of spectators. I can visualize massive tailgate parties in track parking lots if the operators let it fly.

I agree and I also think that the racers like to race and miss doing it. Was hoping to see JJ have a good last year. Majority of spectators were TV audience, I for one couldn't watch the virtual crap.

I actually saw my work truck outdoor indicator say something over 70 degrees today. Oddly, I had to work most of the day on something deemed "critical". Supposed to be warmer tomorrow though, will get out and do some work in the yard, looking forward to that.

I went through the self checkout at HD and had to get 'approval' for spray paint purchase. They have a little barrier around each checkout. I'm standing in this little space and she scoots right in to enter her code. Was not much more room than being in a phone booth together. Someone did not think that through. Situation didn't last long, and she was out and doing something else. but I was like - really? This is how they distance?
I run into similar situations at work. I'm working on stuff and machine operators jump right in next to you. One guy i was talking to. We are already closer than 6 ft and cant here each other well. So he just pulls his mask down... I find that most people who 'don't get it' just don't want to and it's pointless to get into it with them. Just do my best to distance from them.

Note to self.
Self send an email to Chris the promoter of that 2 day circle track event in Bakersfield about his habit of bringing rain to the areas he's visiting.
NWS has a chance of rain here early next week. That's really odd for this time of year.

Seriously, good luck with that, hope for BBQ weather!

Still above freezing, so nothing accumulating, but mix of frozen precipitation here tonight. :wtf:

We've had some squirrely weather past few days, lightning storm rolled in a couple nights ago, dumped quite a bit of rain (got my lawn tractor stuck down the hill a couple days after that because of how wet it was), then had some pretty good wind, picked up our greenhouse and moved it over 30 feet. We had to move all the fruit trees and veggies inside, I got some better metal stakes and will anchor things down better tomorrow. No guys with this greenhouse, kind of a bad idea for these parts.

Seriously? Wow. It's May ya know?

Yeah, that kinda sucks, you're probably ready for better. At least you're not in Manitoba tho, that place takes the cake!

The farmers around here use these Hoops on a huge scale, 100s of acres worth. They manage to survive the spring 30-50mph winds. They must be worth it $$wise because they look labor intensive to install. Tractors with boring implements involved.

A few days ago got a text from one neighbor, their shed had blown over a 6 foot fence into our yard, no worries. Last year our other greenhouse blew into other neighbors yard, whoops. I need to clear stumps and put the garden in with the deer fencing, fruit trees too. Tired of pulling potted trees, blueberry bushes, veggies etc. around. Next year I think.
