So I have this 408cui/425hp engine I built earlier this spring in hopes of finding anything rear wheel drive Mopar to stick it in. Problem is anything Mopar is stupid crazy expensive, even if it is door handle deep in dirt!

I have a chance to buy a super clean, low mile 81 Lincoln Mark 6 from the original owner. I've done research till my eyes bled and couldn't find a single person that has transplanted a small block Mopar in a Ford/Lincoln product.

Can anyone here tell me if it has been done and if so, what I will need for fabrication and parts?
Thank You, Ashton Blackwell

I don't know of anyone that has done that swap. It's your engine, and money, you can do what you want. You don't need our permission. I have a Ramcharger you could put it in... lol

Never heard of it and you probably shouldn't ask here. Scroll down to the bottom of this page. There is a Lincoln & Cadillac forum that is more up your alley.

It’s your parts you a
Can do what you wish with them. I have but one word. WHY?
As I said, even junk Mopars are going for extremely unreasonable prices and I'm only 20 I haven't had the chance to build a 50k bank account yet, so I'm kinda limited in the $$ department.

Hey, it's a Mopar making it thump so why not?

What age does the 50k bank account come at again???? I'm running out of time! :D

Man keep looking. I have a pretty solid 72 Duster body for sale on here. You can find them. Now I don’t know wat your idea is of a good body at a fair price?

Like stated it’s your money and your parts but I could never bring myself to put a mopar engine in a ford but that’s me. I would rather find a rusty dart and go that route be patient and the right car will come along. I the mean time put the engine on a run stand and play with it you can tune and check leaks and all sorts of things.

I've bolted a 331sbf in a 67 Cheby pickup but there was tons of room and it was super cheap to do.

I'd look for something a little lighter! Maybe a truck? A Dakota? Even a RWD importakes more sense to me! Lighter will be more fun. I understand wanting something to put it in until you find what you want but a big old Lincoln don't compute for me! Good luck with what ever you build!

You can find dodge diplomats for 1-2K. I saw one for 800 bucks running the other day. No rust. A diplomat at least looks better than a ford.

I would love to keep it Mopar 100% but I can't afford to drive to California to get it or have it transported.

transportation is about 1500 bucks give or take.
buy a diplomat for 1500 and your only at 3K to get a car to wherever your at. That's pretty cheap. Transporters travel every single day.
