Well, the starter went out and I have a new steering box on the way as well. Also my torsion bars are done. I have new torsion bars from PST ordered and a new powermaster starter on the way and the steering box is from classic industries. Since I have to remove the left side headers to do either the starter or the steering box, I might as well get it all ready today.

The starter just gives a click and nothing. It was a 440 source 1.4 kw starter. I tried jumping the terminals at the relay, nope. My torsion bars are dangerously worn. All the way to the bump stops and the adjuster is hitting the frame. That could have been a disaster. Steering was just really sloppy and had no more adjustment.

It's good that you found all of that and are getting it fixed.... :thumbsup:
 
I have a lot of intricate work to do to my Swinger. I found a clean original washer reservoir that I need to install. LOL

One of the rock farms I worked was a hard rock quarry. blowin' $hit up, the whole deal. The Nuke plant nearby had a rough winter the previous year and their breakwater protecting their seawater supply and discharge were having a rough go of it. They had to get it repaired "We need more rip rap! We'll pay!" says PG&E. We worked 7 12s that entire summer, until Labor Day. They drew the line at paying the triple time wages for working a holiday again. They paid us the triple time for July 4th, but apparently the bean counters objected to doing that again. :lol: Only day we had off that whole summer.
 
Any of you guys use Tile? (little thin squares that emit a locator signal you add to your wallet keys, and cell phone)

On the smoker at noon. They should be done around 6. Going to smoke some pork and beans as well. You like crispy bacon (pre cooked) in your beans or just cut it up and let it get happy? We still have some local sweet corn to go with.
