Stop in for a cup of coffee

Chris Birdsong has a exact replica of Christine, rigged the dash and exterior lights up on a photocell so she comes to light/life every night. Thats his yard art.

I like it.

Hurro!
Baseboards in lavatory done. A couple holes to block off and the heat register needs to be moved. then flooring.

Weekend isnt over if i dont want it to be over. But the corvette needs a little tweak to straighten steering wheel.
May hang a fender on the fargo tomorrow if time permits.

Should get security cameras they said. Will catch everything they said...

I **** canned my PayPal account which makes life hard to send money orders to everyone now or use my dad's account which I don't like to do because then I have to explain what I'm buying and why, and blah blah.

It used to be so easy to charge everything to PayPal credit and worry about later lol

What a busy weekend. I have a 74 318 out of my 74 duster but it's trashed, had water in it and two cylinders are beyond saving.

So i found a 77 318 block with almost no ridge, very low miles and clean block.

So i spent some time power washing the 77 block and stripping down the 74 block so i can use the crank and main caps and and pretty much everything except the block to transfer to the good 77 block.

Wasn't easy getting the crank out of a motor that is locked solid. I got 4 pistons out and one is loose but 3 are there to stay as if someone welded them in.

So i got the clean 77 block on the stand ready to hone and measure and use the parts the from the 74 318 to build.

I had to use my tall stand because the one i shortened has another engine on it.

I need to shorten this one next time.

Another one suckered into marriage.

You know what the difference is between choosing voluntary marriage and forced arranged marriage???

Its the same difference between choosing if you want to hang yourself or have someone else choke you out.
Ouch

Yep. Pretty tricky to get cranks out when the pistons are rusted in. I maneuvered a steel 273 crank out of a block that had been through a couple floods. I bet my 241 Hemi looks like it too. It went through the same floods.
