Anti seize, good fresh color. So is that anti seize on the head bolts or RTV? Either is acceptable to me. It does look really clean on the inside.

Less than 10 months. I hope! Everybody tells me, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I say yes I can, it makes me nervous though! They ask why? I say, how do I know it’s not a diesel coming down the tunnel?!Yeah, perfectly acceptable in my book. I hate it when a head bolt breaks off. lol
Hay, are you finally done playin with railcars now?
It sure yet. I’m about to rotate the assembly to see where the slugs sit. I’d like to do a TF headed 470 mechanical 6 pack....Looks decent! What are your plans for this one?
The difference could be this is rebuilt? They vary. Strange. Mine was .115 in the hole.
I've only seen 1 of my big blocks being dirty in the valley. It was a high mile 440 r/v engine with a rusted out valley pan from a junk yard. Usually if they're just cracked open there's metallic paste stuff sitting near the lifters, so my guess is its most likely been refreshed. Pistons look like factory, & that's the ridge causing the measurements definitelyThe difference could be this is rebuilt?
(EDIT... Not at TDC by 2*’s.)
It’s very clean in here. First big block I opened up. Are they normally like this clean? The 452 heads are clean as well. 2/08/1.74 valves. IIRC, that’s the size.

Thanks! What’s your CID on that build? That's what I'm doing except I'm not going to use a 6 pack
Good luck with your build
