Scrap value is huge on those
Not really. Around here it’s 85 dollars a ton. That’s about 2k each. As they sit, they’ve been appraised as recently as May for 89k and 73k respectively. If they were running, they’d be worth another 25-30k each. Fully restored with correct unit insignia and all the weapons mounts, which we have, combined with the German paperwork from then, about 200k-250,000

Running would be a plus....

Got Beer, but I'm still working at it. Seats in. Had to stir this slip plate for an hour to get it right. Must have been on the shelf for a long time. Moving on to the headlamps, grille, and maybe the tail stripe. @halifaxhops

I'm pooped. I serviced the car and my pick up. It would be easier if I had a hoist but just jacking up with stands are what I have to use. Lots of up and down off the creeper for a old fat guy. LOL. I did get my antilock brake light fixed. The antilock sensor is on the rear end and when I got back there I found some critter chews on the wires. Peel back the insulation, snip off the bad, strip and butt connector with shrink tube and electrical tape. Fixed.

I know. I just like messin with you about um. I actually wanna try the Z-Max in something, but I'm not running a radical enough cam in anything.

Eddie had Z-max in his 340 at first, but swapped them out because he didn't like the tick...

They were nice, because you set the 'gap' by bottoming out the plunger and then adding the clearance...

Noisy. Do they make them roller?

Yes they do, we put them in my oldest son's 91 360 engine...

I don't mind the ticking noise, I just tell people that the engine is a 273 commando.... I usually put commando valve covers on my engines, and it sounds reasonable when people think it's a commando...

And one trick the guy that introduced Rhoades lifters to me said, you can run a double hood insulation pad and help cover up the noise...

F250 brakes were a bit of a battle. If some dumbass had done the last break job properly i wouldnt have to redo it. caliper pin boots werent installed properly. A couple were backwards, and they serve as the pin bushing.
whatever, its fixed.
Had a misfire too, plug well was full of water. Dried it out, cleard code and its good!

Right. I don't like the tick either. That's one reason I caint get my head around them. Might as well run a solid.

And on the Fargo front, wife picked up my parts in the mail!

Does anybody know what tomorrow is??
