Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ya, im sorry i brought it up. Its depressing. Even though im in a small town, and cases are next to nil, i cant help but watch how complacent many people are.
If it gets loose in a grocery store here, in a week it will hit 25% of the population. Minimum.
2 grocery stores, both doing their best to keep it at bay.

Had them in my 340 69 vert.

Never used em, was not sure how they worked. But, now much more data......

Basically the rhoades lifters bleed down below 3500 RPM and take about .025" lift and about 10° - 15° duration at idle... Then as the engine speeds up, they don't bleed down as much until you get to 3500 RPM and then you get the full lift and duration of your cam... They even work with high volume and high pressure oil pumps...

They give more vacuum at low RPM's, better throttle response, and increased vacuum...

When I put the MP 484/284 cam in my 340 cuda, with stock lifters it idled choppy at 1100 RPM and shaky 10.5" vacuum.... I installed rhoades lifters and I was able to get it to idle much smoother at 800 RPM with 13" vacuum....

Here's some more detailed info:

I disagree. I think it was released on purpose. That is if its man-made.like a test, a deadlier one is coming.
I could see that. Good way for population control. Deplete the resources then hit with something worse. Makes sense militarily

Only had to work 9 hours today so it feels like a half day or something.

It's weird that I worked less hours today yet I feel wasted and I have no motivation.

The longer I sit on the couch, the harder it is to get up.

Not your fault man. And while it may be depressing, it’s reality right now. There’s no escaping the fact that it’s affecting the daily lives of everyone on the globe.

the sad part is, my buddy who’s one of those ultra survivalist people, he’s sitting back happy as clam. Him and his wife have been working from home for ten years, they grow and raise all their own food, basically, he’s got his own little compound and was already cut off from the world physically. I should have listened to him more. I thought he was slightly paranoid and a Germanaphobe(which he is, wanna see OCD, see this guy). He tried to get me to do the same thing he did way back during the whole swine flu thing, I laughed and said, nah, I’m good with my tornado/flood kit. You know the first aid kit, flashlight, and a few bottles of water kind of kit. Boy should I have listened, cause he doesn’t seem so crazy anymore

Does anybody know what tomorrow is??

255,496 deaths in the United states. 1/6 the number of the population of Philadelphia.
With 11.5 million cases in the US, that’s a 2% death rate.

If you want to really sober up, the township next to mine (just 4 miles away) has had over 4.8% of the population infected and of those the death rate is 23%.

Yup, nearly a quarter of those that have gotten it have died there. Their demographic is the same as my township, nothing different. It scares the hell out of me.

Like I say to my neighbors, wake up...and that’s not the toast you smell burning...the entire house is on fire.

Unsure, torn, not believing it? Come to my neighborhood and I will take you on a personal tour of the carnage and the lives destroyed.

Those that deny it can kiss my ***.

Hi Dave... Good to see you back... :welcome:

I like hearing your perspective on the virus situation, you've got a little more info on it than we do...

Good to see you Dave!
I agree 100%
I closed the shop to the public last week. Most see the signs and leave. Then call/text to arrange work.
But i am passing on the 2 bit jobs. Soon the leftover work will be done, and i can start burning up my rainy day (fargo) fund.
