Stop in for a cup of coffee

F250 brakes were a bit of a battle. If some dumbass had done the last break job properly i wouldnt have to redo it. caliper pin boots werent installed properly. A couple were backwards, and they serve as the pin bushing.
whatever, its fixed.
Had a misfire too, plug well was full of water. Dried it out, cleard code and its good!View attachment 1715633195

You should do like a buddy of mine did. He made a plastic shield to go over both sides. The problem is the way the hood is made. It channels rain water right on top of number three and sometimes number four plugs, but he went ahead and made them for both sides. No more trouble.

I could see that working. I just tell owners fords arent for rainy day driving..

Running would be a plus....
The one will for sure. Pretty sure it’s the supercharger that’s the problem. It has rubber fins that I’m sure are in rough shape.
The other requires a 4 ton axle to be replaced and that involves cutting 2 inch carbon steel plates from underneath.

Who made the engine? Benz?

I wish it was the other one that needed the axle. It’s only got about a 7/16 carbon steel underside. It’s the more common 251, the other came out of the same factory as the Mark IV and VIs. They beefed the suspension and armor up, bigger engine. It was designed to stay with the tanks and Stukkas and carry their ammo and fuel. Because of this, parts for it are incredibly hard to find as they only made a couple hundred of them and most were destroyed. And of course, most parts don’t interchange between the two

I’ll say this too, the Germans kept records better than anyone in history. Dad was able to go to Berlin and spend a couple days gathering all the original documents for each of them. They tell us who the primary crew assigned was, every deployment, every thing that happened to it right up to its abandonments.

The yellow one is a 1939 model, the assigned to the Afrikacorps under Rommel and thru out its life fought in El Alamein and died of electrical issues just outside Tunisa. Rescued from the desert in 1976.

the uparmored one is a late 42 model, fought on the eastern front. Died during the brutal 43/44 winter somewhere near Smollennsk(spelling?) when the rear diff froze up and while trying to break it free, the gears exploded inside the thing.

was brought back to Germany and imported to the US in 1983.

New code red regs here. Only essential goods can be purchased in department stores.
No visitors from outside of household. They are clamping down hard. So be it.

I have so many mixed feelings about this stuff. It’s crazy. Work sent out an email today, corporate has given the go ahead to stay teleworking thru APRIL 25th. that’s a full 13 months since we first started teleworking. Now of course, it’s up to local management but given they sent an email Monday saying they’ve extended our telework thru the 7th of December due to increasing numbers, anything is possible.

Indiana’s hospitals are a combined 91 percent capacity so I’m sure they’re not gonna want to open themselves up to liability since they have the corporate HQ blessing

I’m still not convinced it wasnt a man made bio weapon that got released accidentally. And I’m still in disbelief that everything is still grinding to a halt over a virus with a 99 percent chance of survival.

but on the other hand, i respect its high contagious rate and the death toll is higher than a junkie

so like I said, torn

I disagree. I think it was released on purpose. That is if its man-made.like a test, a deadlier one is coming.
